Chambres d'hôtes de charme La Gabarie
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (52)
"Wonderful hosts made us welcome and able to give lots of information about the area. Delicious breakfast, swimming pool and donkeys! The bedroom was comfortable with lovely views to the donkey enclosure. Clean, modern bathroom with small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Air conditioning not effective unfortunately and outside cooking facilities require updating - lacking basic utensils and cleaning equipment- not a problem for a short stay but may be an issue for longer stays."

"Clos D'Argenson is like staying in someone's beautiful French home, but where you're left to come and go as you please. The property, centrally located (10 mins walk from the railway, and Bergerac's historic centre, twice-weekly market and river), is elegant and packed with original features, such as the sweeping central staircase up from the marble hallway to the large communal lounge and library, all dotted with art and antique fixtures. The large bedroom suites are similarly elegant (try...

"This was a fabulous choice as a stop over on our Dordogne adventure. Chris was there to welcome us and show us around the property, and even though we were a little early he invited us in to enjoy the facilities. The room was quaint with lovely French decor, with all the modern facilities added to our experience. Great Wifi, air conditioning & a large shower were all a great bonus. As well as the fresh bed linen on the huge bed. The breakfast was beautifully laid out on the terrace for us, which...

"Staying at a castle is an adventure in and of itself. The owners/our hosts Don and Jennifer, are a delightful young couple who have restored the castle and have been there the past 3 years. Very helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful. The view was terrific and we had great fun enjoying a nighttime bonfire under a canopy of brilliant stars. We had a terrific dinner prepared by a French chef, Jean Claude and even went to the market in the morning with him and Don to pick out...

"For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return.
