"Convenient location for public transportation and nice area. Clean room and bathroom. However shower door was not fitted properly and water leaked onto the floor. Bedroom Blackout drapes a little too short so the morning light came through earlier than we would have liked. Good and plentiful breakfast though scrambled eggs and baked beans were cold by 7:30 am. Hope on our return visit on the 14th the fruit will be varied a little. Missed my morning banana or apple. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Clean but very basic property. Comfortable bedding. Shower - not able to get any hot water. Nice staff. Rooms in the basement will have noise and vibration of the tube trains running around every few minutes. Main benefits are location and comfortable bed."

"Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff were so warm, pleasant and accommodating. They made our check-in seamless. The room was immaculate and well maintained. We used in-room dining a bit and the food was always delivered promptly. The overnight menu is particularly good if you’ve been out late into the night and you wish to have something to eat when you return to your room. Of course, the food was delicious! There was a variety at breakfast, with both buffet and a-la-carte menu items available. Our check-out was also accomplished with little fuss. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!"

"Reception person (Boris) was not helpful when i requested a room with an oxford street view and he claimed that the hotel fully booked for the next 4 days! However the next day i want to the reception desk and managed to get me an oxford view room. "

"Everyone is special at the Strand. Staff takes pride in their work! Although the rooms are small, it is still good value for the area. It’s in a fantastic area to walk the themes and visit Big Ben along with shopping on Oxford! "

"Reception was lovely. Room was clean. Shower is poorly designed so water gathered on the floor. More of an annoyance than anything. Heater/air conditioner didn’t always work. As it was the weekend there was a lot of street noise. However great location and well run. Didn’t eat there so no feedback on the restaurant. "
