"A beautiful property that was perfect for our needs. There were five adults and four children in our group and it catered, and was accessible, for all. Supermarkets are close, the views are fantastic, and the house itself was clean and tidy. We had to switch the timer off on the heating as it was very cold with it on but the house warmed up very quickly and it was really warm after a while. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone."

We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "Great faculties and location is perfect - in a small quiet street across the road from nice sandy beach. Co-op is just across the street and few local take aways and cafes. Just perfectly placed. Very well thought through accommodation with the wow factor when you walk in. Thank you and we will stay again!"

"We recently stayed at May Cottage and it was just what we needed. The cottage is lovely and much bigger than we anticipated, especially the bedrooms - they’re a really big! Kitchen has everything you need and even though we had taken hand wash and washing up liquid etc, it was all provided. Even dishwasher tablets! The views from the garden are exceptional and it was very quiet. We loved sitting watching the families of swallows flying in and out of their nests and listening their babies...

"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."
