The Wedding Retreat
Great little place to stay away from everyone. Took a book and some study as no TV. We did use our phones for back ground noise as there was no radio but we had cellphone coverage on the Spark network. Neat place and very easy to talk with the owner.

Country Charm
A beautifully positioned country cottage surrounded by trees with animals just across the fence. We were very comfortable on a very wet night. The decor was peaceful and encouraged relaxing with a book. The cottage was fully set up with kitchen and laundry - perfect for a longer stay.

Peace & Quiet
Such a beautiful setting for a peaceful, relaxing getaway; the hosts, Anne and Rod were so friendly and engaging...oh, and I can't forget lovely greeting I got from Molly. I will definitely return!

Peaceful break away
This cottage was well presented, adequately appointed and very clean. Tucked away in the countryside beside the owners home yet independent of it and secluded from it, the place was quiet and peaceful. No TV was a bonus. Internet was not available and mobile service coverage spasmodic all of which was a bother but for us not a showstopper. We would stay again.

Good small cottage
Good clean and quiet cottage. Wi-fi didn't work for us and very little network coverage. We couldn't stay for the duration mainly due to that, as my work rely on active network.

Pukekawa Cottage
I found this cottage to be designed with consideration and fulfilled my needs. It was quiet and rural with easy access to surrounding areas, making it convenient for me to visit family and friends. Anne and Rod were attentive hosts while deeply considerate of privacy.

Could not fault any thing.
Rod and Anne are warm and caring people who welcomed us and made sure we would be totally comfortable during our stay, and we were. Even to the point where they offered to come and collect us if our car broke down. Communication was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable with a fantastic bed. Thankyou for a memorable stay.

Judy and Graham were fantastic guests. The cottage was left in a very clean and tidy condition. The only complaint we have is that we did not spend more time with them. They are welcome to stay again anytime. Safe travels.

Lovely Country Cottage
This was just what we were looking for - quiet and rural, but close enough to Auckland that distance/travel wasn't a big factor. Rod and Anne were great hosts.

In my opinion, this was a thoughtfully conceived accommodation that met my simple needs: everything necessary was provided (as described). The hosts were exceptionally helpful and friendly while absolutely respectful of privacy.

Like many guests we did not have enough time to enjoy their company but they were considerate, thoughtful and left the cottage in a clean and tidy state. They are more than welcome to come again at any time.

Exceptional property with an incredible outlook with welcoming donkeys and little Molly to greet us. This little haven has the comforts for all you need. Rod and his wife are amazing hosts and can’t do enough for you. We highly recommend this beautiful little haven

Great little cottage
Have a lovely time with all the animals. It was a great location, and had everything we needed for a weekend away. I just wish I’d finished the jigsaw puzzle!

It was perfect for what I wanted.
I needed some where to stay close to Pokeno so that when the lockdown lifted I could drive into to Auckland without issues. The location and price was perfect. The host was amenable.

A perfect country stay.
Exactly what we needed, where we needed it to be. A tranquil location where we could enjoy early morning birdsong alongside with the antics of pets and countryside rural animals. Cottage had all we needed in terms of comfort and amenities. We would certainly return for a much longer stay, and recommend it to others as a perfect rural escape. The hosts were perfect in every respect. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

Quiet vacay
We arrived at 9pm on Friday and the cottage was lit up for us. We were left to ourselves the entire weekend which is exactly what we wanted even though the main house is across the car parking area. The setting was lovely. The cottage was beautiful. The 4 legged welcoming committee was a nice touch!

i chose to stay here because of the location. Only stayed the one night, but true to the description, it was a quiet, peaceful country cottage. The cottage had more than I neededfor an overnight stay. Will stay there again next time I'm in the area. Only around 45 min from Auckland Airport.

Peaceful farm stay
The cottage was tidy and gorgeously designed. The farm was peaceful and we made friends with the animals. Our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We spent a peaceful week here and will be back as soon as we can get away for a long weekend. There was nothing more we could have hoped for - and we miss Molly the pup and Zeus the sheep!

Nice Property
Nice comfortable place, although the wifi signal wasnt strong enough to connect to. Nice privacy and everything was tidy and clean. Would visit again. Very cold weekend and the heating was struggling to keep it warm but we were told we could go and ask for a heater if needed. Wouldn't have been an issue if it wasnt the coldest weekend so far. Both very minor things and it was a very nice private place to go stay.

Exceptional hospitality, lovely peaceful Bach.
We were made to feel very welcome by Rod & Anne who showed exceptional hospitality. Their self-contained Bach next to their house is very peaceful and well equipped with a comfortable bed. A great stop-over for us, would happily stay longer. Thank you!

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr idyllisch und ruhig mit Schafen, Eseln und einem quirligen Hund. Das Häuschen war sehr geräumig und sauber und die Gastgeber haben mich zum Dinner eingeladen. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend und eine erholsame Nacht. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich nett und lustig und geben ganz viele Tipps, was man sich in der Nähe anschauen kann. Insgesamt total empfehlenswert.
