"Wonderful cabins with full bathrooms right near Carmel Beach (driving distance). Fire pits were a wonderful way to spend time with an extended group at night. The grocery store across the street was also convenient."

"Excellent location. Very clean and tidy. Kitchen is well appointed and overall it’s an adorable cottage. We loved our time in Carmel. The 5th bed is the couch and the kids said it was very comfortable.Only constructive feedback would be that the beds could use some updating - the one in the back bedroom was noisy and moved around when rolling over in bed, and the one in the front bedroom has mattress grooves from use. Also, with the check-in procedure, we missed the text with the lockbox code as we were in an area with no cell reception the day before so we spent the first 30-45 min locked out of the cottage. Vrbo did not have the information and the host kept saying we should have that info already before finally resending it. Once we got in, everything was great. Maybe it should be emailed and texted or sent via Vrbo messages?"

We particularly LOVED being able to walk through the neighborhood to the beach ( pro tip: go to Carmel River State Beach and walk north along scenic road around sunset for great views) and ending our days in the hot tub in the yard. We will definitely be back!"

The house is perfectly situated in that it is very close to the beach but far enough away from the busy number of people along the main drag of Carmel by The Sea. I will be back!!!"
