I loved my stay at Villa Mara Carmel! The room was super clean and comfortable, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. They had tons of great recommendations for things to do around town. And the breakfast—wow. I almost never eat breakfast, but this one was seriously amazing and totally worth it. Such a great experience overall!

If I could I would. This boutique hotel merits 10 stars. And the main stars go to the hospitality from the staff.lined up by beauty in this quaint hotel. My biggest wow when I walked in was the sunken tub. After our long walk on the beach this was like dessert after dinner. Comfortable bed, I havnt had such a relaxed nights rest in awhile. Breakfast was delicious, Everything is the best youre going to find is here. If youre looking for comfort convenience and beauty.

Loved every part of staying at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful with local recommendations. You’re very well taken care of at this hotel. There’s free cake every night, as well as free snacks and water in the room (including fresh baked cookies). The grounds were beautiful and the room was cozy. There’s a limited number of rooms, so it’s really peaceful and homey. We loved the daily room service breakfast. The location is also close to great restaurants, shopping, and the water. Would stay here every time I’m in Carmel!

Absolutely the best all around

What a wonderful stay and attention to service and detail. From arrival to departure, we felt completely attended to for any need we had or could have. A wonderful breakfast is included each morning, recommendations to local restaurants, the beach is one block from the stay, multiple sitting areas with fire pits located around the property. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

I was on the first floor, so the ocean was certainly not in view, and there were multiple houses in front of this house-like hotel so I doubt there was much of a view on the second floor. The water is very hot. The floors were heated even the toilet seat was heated. The whole experience was very luxurious and clean. They provide you with everything you might need minus clothes so no worries if you forget your toothbrush or your loofah. The “front desk” was actually a bar where one of the staff was making us a drink while he checked us in and made restaurant recommendations. Breakfast options were light but filling enough to where you could have an early lunch in a few hours or second breakfast right away. You have full access to the mini fridge and snacks in the room at no additional charge. I like that they provide cake at 7 PM every day. The only con I could find is that the rooms are VERY close together so you will hear noises from people walking around upstairs or next-door or even in the lobby. Everyone was very mindful of being quiet at night, but there’s only so much you can do with noise of walking. This place is a house renovated into a hotel so you won’t find amenities such as pools, fitness centers, spas or anything of the sort. They do have fireplaces around the property with cozy seating areas of all sorts; and the bar of course. They have cafe style tables with outlets for charging near each one where you could comfortably work. I’d 100% stay again.
