"It seems that owners are not investing in renewing original room items like blind curtains (mine was broken very noticebly) and overall room furshing shows rhe passage of age with no effort in replacing. Room cleaning staff did not replaced simple items like shower soap/gel. Breakfast offered extemely limited. Not even boiled eggs were offered. The staff was kind, parking pricey but good, and hotel location superb. It's a shame that a recently built hotel (less than 20 years old) so well located is not being taken care of the way it should be. Would I'll stay again? Possibly, in the absence of a better $ deal somewhere else depending on the season."

"A small hotel done with live and care. However I spent 4 nights never saw anyone from the staff. I was very unhappy with my cute and clean room. No windows…since I managed to avoid prison all my life now I served 4 days. I am sure they had some unoccupied rooms but no one to talk to to change it. Why did they give me this room?"

"Great location. Check in time was supposed to be 4PM but rooms weren't ready until 6:30 because they only had 1 housekeeper for the whole place! Room was large and clean, A/C worked great, but no lighting in bedroom just 2 small dim lamps. Coffee machine in lobby and room, but no cups available. No tissues. They told us to use toilet paper instead. Hotel is new and modern and clean. But management needs to attend to basic necessities."

"The hotel has the potential to be much better than it was. I will start with the positives : - great location , right in middle of old San Juan - 24x7 Open bar which serves tea, coffee, beer and red / white sparkling wine - Vibe in the lobby is amazing and welcoming. Worth noting , there is no elevator available and no help is offered in taking bags up to your room. I got a message after I booked telling me the same but would have appreciated this detail before booking. The rooms on the other end could be “underwhelming” to say the least. You could count the furniture in the room in one hand. The bed did not have a head stand , there was no wardrobe - there was just a wall hanger with a few hangars. There was one small study / dresser and a dresser chair and finally a single sofa. Whilst I appreciate the rustic / old nature of the property it could have been better kept. The bathroom was small basic with a shower area. Overall I feel with little investment the property could be so much better. Oh and finally room service was on demand and when we asked for it we were asked “ what would you like to get done”. Can’t remember the last time I was asked that in a hotel ! I would still give the hotel a 3 star but without some considerable changes would perhaps skip staying there again. "
