We loved the pool it is very nice it could have been a little cleaner. We loved the food in the little mall that was unique. Seems like they had a problem with the long tailed cats being a nuisance. Did a rally good job cleaning the rooms every day. The sales people on the beach came by about every 25 minutes all morning long there could be less. I would recommend this for families.

Enjoyed all of the wildlife. Beach setup was great! Pools were hot and dirty. Not refreshing at all. Expected better food at buffets and restaurants at this level of resort. Have been to many AI resorts in Riviera Maya and food was much better at less expensive resorts like Sandos, El CID, Riu. We paid to up grade to Lindo from Beach for the AC at buffets and lobby bar but felt food quality/AC was lacking overall.

Positive: Restaurants and food were good, staff were friendly, lots of wildlife on the property, beach chairs, rooms were great, pool activities, shopping center with a playground for kids, dessert places, and bellboys were helpful with calling for shuttle rides. Negative: You will get approached multiple times to attend one of their membership presentations. The pool is huge but dirty, drinks were poor quality, and we saw some type of rat inside the restaurant. The staff chased it into the kitchen to move it away from the other guests. There is only one location to pick up towels (we had to walk back from the beach to get a towel). There is also an inability to book specialty restaurants through the app (nothing was available), and you have to depend on the concierge to do it. Overall: It’s a decent place and appropriate for the price. I would not return because I prefer to explore other resorts.

Nothing special, was just ok, almost all the restaurants and buffet are open air just fans that spin, and was very hot and uncomfortable. The beach was full of weeds and smelly, we used the pool and was kind of dirty. The people working there are great, the room was nice, we had no view at all from the porch just trees. Will not recommend this place.

Our stay at Iberostar Waves Paraíso del Mar was okay overall, but there were a few things that disappointed us. The biggest issue was the pool. It was so warm that it wasn’t very refreshing, especially on hot days. We were looking forward to cooling off, but the water felt almost too warm to enjoy. The food was decent, but nothing special. There was a good variety, but overall it was just average and didn’t really stand out compared to other all-inclusive resorts. One thing that felt unfair was that many amenities weren’t actually available to all guests. For example, the water park at the neighboring Iberostar hotel required either a $99 per person day pass or a membership to use. We also noticed that access to some other facilities was restricted in the same way. Since all of the resorts are part of the same complex, it would have been nice if more amenities were included for all guests. The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the beach was nice, so there were definitely positives. Overall, we had a decent vacation, but we think there is room for improvement, especially regarding included amenities and the quality of the food.

The property was very clean and well maintained. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Our stay was 6 days and boredom was never an issue. From the pools, to the beach and all the different shows at night, there was always some to peek your interest. The wildlife were fun to watch as well. Beautiful experience!

On the whole, the food was okay. However, the temperature of the food could improve and the fruits were bland. Pool area is lovely and what's not to like about a beautiful beach and the ocean. The wildlife is awesome and the flammingos strutting through the lobby are hilarious! Our room was clean and neat. The staff were all friendly.

The grounds are stunning. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the service which was really excellent. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we felt taken care of. We ate at most of the restaurants and the food was very good at each one. The entertainment was fun and there were lots of activities. The spa was wonderful! I highly recommend this destination and a shoutout to Omar and Angel for truly making us feel like family.
