We visited Florence & Siena but be prepared for longer journeys than you might expect, simply because you are in the countryside so lots of long, winding roads and less motorways. We also visited local castles (Romena and Poppi) within ten minutes drive of the villa, and a local vineyard (3 mins away) called Podero Bellosguardo. There was a heatwave while we were there...

"A wonderful place for a large family gathering in the hills of Tuscany. The view is stupendous and the setting is green and peaceful. Farmhouse feel and close to nature. So much to do in the area from small local Trattoria to Arezzo, Siena and Florence. The hosts, Giuseppe and Marina are friendly and helpful and even set up a Tuscan cooking evening for us. We had 20 family members from 9 months to 91 and all had a great time. Many happy memories."

"This property is located approx 5km from the beautiful town of Arezzo. There is a bus every hour, daily, from Tregozanno, where the property is actually located, to Arezzo. It is very rustic and in a beautiful setting. So relaxing. And, because it’s not right in town, the best of both worlds. There are no restaurants in Tregozanno but there is a great butcher and deli/mini market. There is also a pharmacy and bar! Maurizio, the owner lives next door and is the loveliest, most helpful human being...

He helped us plan a winery tour and advised us on things to do, we cooked, he started the fire for us when we wanted one, he even offered to come pick us up an hour away when we had car issues.
