"Great stay for a solo traveller. Good location, free parking and very hospitable. Very reasonably priced too."

"Clean room. Located next to a Sansbury’s if you need anything. Also a nice little pub just around the corner."

"Easy parking, friendly staff, lovely breakfast "

"Have stayed at the George several times before and come back for its cosy, slightly old fashioned charm and warm welcome. Comfortable rooms, showers that work, and great breakfasts and meals. Will return again when in Penrith."

"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

"Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn."

"Very nice stay"

"Fairly basic but clean . Manager was very nice guy . Probably over priced for what it is . But no real complaints for a drop off close to M6"

"The staff was so helpful and so funny! The room was well small-ish but perfectly comfortable and the window opened for a nice breeze in the evening. The meals were very nice and the location/surroundings are beautiful!"

"Helpful staff and free parking"

"Very helpful and friendly staff, in a wonderful isolated hotel retaining its 1937 origins. Food excellent. Great walks from the car park at the end of the road (1mile +). Very dog friendly."
