"North Lakes Hotel & Spa is a beautiful facility with lush green gardens. Who would have thought I’d be wishing for an air conditioned room in May! The rotating fan did help a little but my room still felt humid and stuffy. Also the toilets appear to have been upgraded but holding the button in to flush is difficult. Overall NLH&S is a beautiful facility with great service and friendly welcoming staff. I would definitely stay again but during cooler weather. "

"Hotel was lovely but very steep drive way to get from the road to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, didn't eat in the restaurant. Only complaint would be that there wasn't a fridge in the room. The room itself was spacious with a separate sofa . Pool area and spa were fabulous. "

"Upon arrival to check in staff were friendly and attentive and offred to help with any bags we had etc. The room allocated to us was on the top floor more of an attic type room. Room size was ok for a double and it was clean and tidy as was the en suite shower/toilet. Location was good and it was only about a 10 min walk down to the town centre and lake itself. Good breakfast included in the stay. Overall a great choice for our stay."

"We stayed for 2 nights in suite for our wedding anniversary. Little extras like chocolates and a card congratulationing us was a lovely touch. Could not fault the staff and would definitely recommend and return"

"Very comfortable hotel with lovely gardens, and good breakfast. Staff were friendly, parking plentiful, and walkable to Lake Windermere and the shops/restaurants in Bowness on Windermere. Enjoyed the birds inhabiting the gardens - get a window table for breakfast to enjoy the birds while you eat."

"Perfectly situated hotel, easily walkable into Bowness and all its attractions. The Belsfield has beautiful grounds and although maybe could do with a slight refresh it’s still a beautiful hotel with lots of charm and character. Breakfast was good and speedily served. The staff are polite and attentive and big shout out to the barman on Saturday evening who made me the best mai tai I’ve ever tasted. The only issue we had was parking related, we arrived at about 3.30pm on the Saturday and the car park was full. We managed to get a space later once the late lunch visitors left. Next time we visit the Lakes we would choose to stay here again. "

"We stayed for 3 nights and wished it could have been more. The hotel is in very good shape. Everything has been well thought out and the decor works seamlessly from reception to lounge, conservatory. Restaurant, corridors , landings and bedroom. Spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding. Lovely bathroom, plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Food was excellent each breakfast and evening meal. The external seating areas worked well with well laid out patio and garden. Can’t praise the hotel enough. A wonderful 3 days and will definitely return for a relaxing few days holiday in the future."
