"We just finished a 3 night stay at Sunset Inn. It was a nice, little place a few blocks from the ocean. It was clean, quiet and safe, comfortable bed and a nice neighborhood. The provide a nice basic breakfast with oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. We would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the area. Very convenient for exploring Carmel and Monterey. The staff was very friendly and helpful too."

"Cute room, great location, good breakfast although I had to ask for a breakfast parfait only after I discovered someone eating one and asked where that was. I was not informed that was available."

"Normally like this place but I discovered that there was no conditioner in the shower halfway through washing my hair. Grrr. Also asked for a room with a fireplace for both my stays (midweek, not too many guests) and didn't get it, either time."
