Beaumont Estate

Burfield Road, Berkshire, Windsor - Map
"Good hotel near to Windsor castle and Legoland"
Good value for money on a B&B break, drinks and bar food expensive. Unfortunately the room was very hot and the plug in fan provided did very little to cool the room. I am disabled and was unable to use the disabled parking in front on the block where are room was because out of the six spaces only 2 actually had blue badges. We spoke to reception who apologised and said they would put a note on the offending cars not sure if this did actually happen. Very good breakfast buffet.

"Ideal for our needs."
Pub basic but very friendly and welcoming. Great entertainment on the Friday night we stayed. Room 4 was very clean and comfortable, though I found pillows a little firm, and hubby thought water pressure in small shower was terrible, and we didn't have any milk in our room. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good selection.

The Royal Adelaide Hotel

46 Kings Road, Windsor - Map
"Centrally-located hotel"
The hotel is in an old building so allowances need to be made - there is no lift and access to the bedroom was via steep flights of stairs. The room though small was comfortable although some of the fittings need updating e.g. loose catches on the window. Bathroom was fine and the breakfasts were good with food freshly cooked to order and not the dreaded hot (i.e lukewarm) buffet breakfast that you often find. The staff were polite and efficient. Parking is a bit of an issue with limited spaces in a small car park which have to be pre-booked and cost extra - fortunately I had done so as Windsor is not a great place for low-cost parking. The hotel is in walking distance of the main sights being very close to the Long Walk and Castle. Eton is also within 15 minutes walking distance and the more adventurous can easily walk into the Great Park from the hotel. I didn't need to use the car during my 2 day stay

"Nice but too much noise from the outside vents."
Nice staff, good car parking if shoppers don't try to steal the several places. Good shower/bath and bed. Pillows were too thin. Too much noise outside the window sounded like a truck but was the bathroom ventilation system. No iron in the room. Close to Windsor.

"Lovely hotel next to a river, very picturesque. "
Lovely staff, great setting, food was excellent, really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. Room was clean and well presented. The only downside was a big wet patch on the bedroom floor as by the time someone was going to inspect it we we off to a wedding so we put bathroom mat on wet patch to save us from getting wet feet. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here.

"My experience."
Hotel car park difficult to find, valet parking expensive, which I only found out about after booking! Hotel reception staff all very polite and try to be helpful main problem their English speaking is difficult to understand sometimes (Particularly when on the mobile in car trying to get direction to the car park! ). Otherwise hotel experience and room were lovely, I wouldn't want to stay more than one night with luggage although there is a wardrobe there was no storage for other clothing I.e. no drawers. For the upmarket hotel a trouser press would have Been helpful, although there was an iron and board to use! Fantastic position of hotel right on high street and almost directly opposite the castle. Air conditioning size of room cleanliness, bed comfort all perfect, I would stay again.
