Train station with attached shopping mall and foodcourt is 50 metres away, and Lavender Bay with its peaceful 'secret garden' area is a short walk down the hill. Rooms are spotlessly clean, with quiet air-conditioning and opening windows. The harbour view is amazing. The rooms are well serviced and the biscuits are replaced every day. Hotel Services manual is accessed via the TV rather than a folder in the room. It would have been helpful if there was notification of this in the room rather than having to go and ask at Reception after hunting the room for it. Mini bar prices are a better deal than the bar price! My room on the 2nd floor was noisy, train noise as it was just above the railway line and thumping base music from the entertainment in the bar below on the Saturday night. Given the noise, I felt the tariff was rather high.

Easy walk to Lane Cove for dinner. Close to city, comfortable and great views. Big bath towels, comfy bed, clean and tidy. Doesn't look a million dollars from the outside but inside is the same as any hotel on Hyde park :) Only much much cheaper! Will definitely stay again. Thanks
we were pleasantly surprised on arrival, to have a car park right outside the hotel and to be told of a car parking area just up the road where we could park the car until we left after our two nights stay. this was a wonderful advantage, and the hotel location makes using trains easy, and walking to the shops an easy distance away.
North Sydney is a compact secondary central business district. High-rise offices, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and a few small shopping malls dominate. Busy from Monday–Friday, it quiets down on weekends, but within 1 km is the relaxed, al fresco café, pub, and restaurant scene of Blues Point Road. Trendy Kirribilli is not much further away at the northern base of the Harbour Bridge.
