So disappointed with our stay. Firstly, about to have a quick nap and some guy with power tools started working almost directly outside of our room - on a Saturday at 3pm in the afternoon. It was so loud that even with the double glazed, "sound proofed" doors shut - was still way too loud to have a nap, let along with a toddler. Secondly, the internet did not seem to work in our room - so while unable to connect our phones to the free wifi, we were also unable to connect to any of the streaming services on the TV. After calling reception about this, they said someone would come immediately to fix it. They sent a "housekeeper" 20mins later, who had no idea how to fix this issue. The housekeeper called the "porter", who spent maybe 30mins in the room trying to fix the issue (which was obviously not fixable within the first 10mins of trying). This person then left and got his boss to come - who was clearly unhappy with having been called away to deal with this. The boss also confirmed what I had said in the first place - and said he would go and swap for another TV. I was just glad that after over an hour, and 3 different people, it was being solved. 15mins later we were told there was no spare tv, but we could change rooms if we wanted (2 rooms down) - which was slightly annoying but happy to do so in order to have usable wifi. You would also think moving 2 rooms down would help with the insane noise coming from the power tools guy - but no! Disappointing stay.
