Superb stay for our family
Wonderful host, Sandra, welcomed us and offered milk (and the use of pool and spa). The unit is generously sized and fully equipped for us. Tasteful and quality furnishings. Super comfortable beds and linen. The heavy rain did not dampen our trip with Netflix, magazines and books. Beautiful and peaceful property. With just an easy 10-15min drive to NP centre. Small supermarket, pizza hut and couple of restaurants in Bell Block suburb for late night options.

Excellent stay!
This was a comfortable well kept base for our WOMAD weekend and very accurately described in the listing. Its a few kilometers out of town but once you are driving that's fine anyway. The entrance in and out onto a busy road is a little fraught but not impossible. Communication with Sandra was excellent and very helpful. We definitely recommend this stay.

Rosandra retreat.
Very peaceful place tho quite a way from NP. No milk provided for cup of tea on arrival . Also could do with a bedside light in lounge to read by. Extra signage on main road would be great. Quite hard to find especially at night. Otherwise all good.

We loved this clean, quiet, comfortable unit, situated just outside the city centre. It was the perfect place from which to explore New Plymouth. It had everything we needed and the bed was comfy. Couldn't ask for more.

One of the best!
This modern Airbnb is a stand alone unit of high quality. It is situated in a lovely large garden. It contains everything you need. The Host is very approachable and nothing seems to be a problem. We loved it!

Rosandra Retreat
Fantastic unit surrounded by a beautiful garden. Just outside New Plymouth in a lovely rural setting. The unit had everything that we needed. My girls loved the swimming pool and the very friendly cat. The reason I have given this 4 stars is that we were not made aware that there would be a caravan parked close to the unit as this property doubles as a small camping ground. I had to keep my kids away from the man staying on the other side of the driveway to us.

This property was set in a stunning garden setting with beautifully flowering roses when we were there. Sandra was amazing to deal with. The stand alone unit is very spacious and has the most comfortable bed. Just the right distance outside of New Plymouth but has gas stations, supermarkets etc close by.

We felt welcome and very much at home immediately. We were here fr business and the desk and large dining table were well utilised. Pretty Country setting with convenience of city amenities a short drive. Snow capped mountain view from the windows. Parking at door. Will be back !!

Was a beautiful piece of property. Had a separate unit and fully contained with all your needs. The bbq area was very nice, didn’t have opportunity to use or the lovely pool area. Was a little ways out from New Plymouth so a car is needed.

Love this space, it was worth the drive, worth the money!
Just left on sunday... stayed for 5 nights with my little family ❤️ not Far from most attractions rhat we visited. I loved everything about it. Nothing to complain about. Beds were comfy, Netflix and YouTube on TV for kids, shower was nice and big. Microwave heats real fast 😂 Linen is definitely a Briscoe brand😂 pool was sooo good, kids loved it!! Everything was provided! Except food but they did have the basics oil, soy, salt & pepper, herbs 👌 Coffee? Maccona hef mere mmmmmmmmm 😂 So peaceful, quiet at night and the carpet is so comfy you can sleep on it 😂 Back yard area, more privacy.. beautiful layout. Bbq was nice and big so we cooked up pretty fast. Home owners offered to wash our clothes on our last night, but we endedup taking it with us. But service from the beautiful couple threwout was really good, they bought us new towels and didn't push us for used towels. They just kept us aware and let us be ❤️👌 Very welcoming🙏 Overall, awesome awesome. 5nights was not enough for me!! Definitely 5star rating! Definitely reccomend for all ages💓

Really happy with our stay here - exceeded expectations as didnt realise it was on such a large property. We were the only guests so it was very quiet and relaxing. Well set up and appointed - we will be back. Great communication and help from the host - only suggestion is better signage at the entrance as hard to see especially at night.

Other beds in living area Milk missing for cup of tea Fly spray can basically empty so not able to kill off small black flies. No contact with anyone during 3 night stay. Host away

Hi I did make contact through email and directed as you said you dont have mobile to text. Yes we were away. But some folk are entitled to a break away. Sorry there was no milk. But over all, as previously emailed during your stay did you enjoy WOMAD. Also sleeping and bed configuration is on web site. As sleeping is in lounge also it's still a separate sleeping area to the main bedroom. It's not a queen and 3 singles in one bedroom. So its classes as 2 sleeping rooms. Cheers

Great set up for our little family. Nice to come back to a quiet spot after a day of sightseeing and enjoy the pool or fish & chips on the grass outside the room. Really close to the airport which is convenient but not noisy at all. Happy to recommend.

Disappointed we did not get the accommodation we booked
Sadly we were not given the detached private unit with outdoor patio area that we had booked well in advance. We were told this had been given to someone else and that we had been 'upgraded'... then we were placed in a suite attached to the house. The suite was well furnished and had a big kitchen... that we did not need...Unfortunately there was no access to a private patio or outdoor furniture to relax with a coffee and watch the stars...which was the main reason we booked with the retreat. The main bed was also very hard and when tried to sleep in another bedroom was woken very early by a loud alarm coming from the ajoined owners premises... followed by a very bright light shining into the sleeping area and alot of noise. Although the accommodation was clean and well equipped and I loved the amazing pool...Overall we were a little disappointed we did not get what we booked and did not get a very good sleep for either of the 2 nights we stayed.

So sorry but thought we did our best giving you a luxury unit twice the size, this unit only had one bedroom 'Beds the same in both units. Sorry you didn't make use of the outdoor chairs. Cause of the sudden change was bereavement related.
