"Digital check-in failed to work but staff on desk friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom needs a make-over. Sink and bath both chipped in several places. Breakfast had good selection and value for money."

"My stay at Abode was relaxing as always. All the staff are always polite, helpful and happy to see you. The hotel provides all you need for a short stay and has an amazing location right by the racecourse. The only slight downside is that the hotel is now starting to show signs of understandable wear and tear which can detract from the experience. The beds are very comfy and rooms are always clean."

"Very clean hotel, breakfast was very good. It was a very busy service, so the hot food was always fresh, the staff were friendly, cheerful and efficient, despite being clearly very busy. We checked in late at night and the woman on the desk was very cheerful and helpful. Another member of staff helped me to book a taxi back to the airport train station. The only thing about this hotel, is that it is not the Holiday Inn at the airport - it is a taxi ride away or a half hour walk, if you can cope for that far with kids and luggage. We took a taxi from the other Holiday Inn to this one. That was also cheaper, as there is a surcharge for getting a taxi pick up at the airport - so walk somewhere else to get the taxi and book it yourself!"

"What makes my stay here special is the lovely welcome from the gentleman on the front desk. He is a credit to your establishment, he truly is. Polite, helpful, kind, everything you could wish for. Even a warm cookie! Sadly l don’t remember his name. I’ve been staying at this hotel for four or five years and he’s always been there. I hope he never leaves! "
