Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!"

"The property was very pretty…well-stocked, nice layout and comfortable. We enjoyed hanging around the kitchen island. I would have rated the cleanliness a five, but an old candy wrapper fell out of the sheets when I was stripping the master bed - yuck! We had difficulty getting on the internet and I was unable to get in touch with Jamie. Two minor recommendations: Invest in some better pillows and consider hanging curtains in the master bedroom because of the street light outside the window....

"We came up to celebrate a wedding, it got complicated and had to be changed to a day earlier due to the bride's medical emergency, the wedding occurred at the hospital and the emotions were constantly changing, everyone is healthy now and with this place it was nice to relax after such a stressful event. We saw many deer on the rides back to the property usually at dusk. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to escape reality!"
