"Room was smaller than expected (about 10 tatami). Onsen was fine. Food was tasty, and changed the second day, which is nice. The ryokan building itself is quite pretty. It's easy enough to find, less than a 10 minute walk from the station. It is in the middle of a town, so it doesn't feel very rural, but I guess that's a tradeoff for the convenience of the location. And since it's in a town, it's quite easy to walk out to cafes, restaurants, convenience store, etc. Staff were all very friendly....

"Ok cool place, not cheap. But be prepared, this is a really local Japanese hotel. Almost no one speaks English behind the desk. The rooms are Japanese Rooms with Tatami, the Onsen's are beautiful and the key feature of the hotel. "Convenient for public transport and the castle was within walking distance. Unfortunately i was given a smoking room which stank like an old ashtray. The room was heavily nicotine stained and even after using freshner it still smelt.the Free breakfast was limited in choice and not topped up, so first in best selection. The staff are friendly and helpful and i will stay here again but i will specify a non smking room."
