"Our hosts were eager to ensure our stay was enjoyable and were keen to assist us with ideas on things to do in the area. Breakfast was wonderful and the room was comfortable and clean."
"Beautifully situated within easy walking distance of shops/walks/harbour and beach. Room 16 was small, which is expected in an old building, but was characterful with great sea view. The thick walls made it very cool on a scorching day. Only downside was bath could do with a shower curtain and car park gets very busy and is 5 min walk. Enjoyed the food in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner. Would stay again."
"Amazing stay comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom, dinner was delicious food, breakfast was very good to, guy who served us was very upbeat and on point, worth a visit, we would definitely recommend and go back."
"A wonderful couple of days stay, very convenient for driving & walking to various lovely villages with tea rooms.
Will definitely go back to explore more of the area & have a longer stay at Bossington Hall.
The breakfast was second to none, pleasant surroundings to enjoy our stay."
"This is a lovely Guest House .Sharon and Daryl are exceptionally friendly and provide lots of advice on the local and surrounding area. The breakfasts are marvellous.we really enjoyed our week.👍"
"A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay."
"Great location for hiking the area. Friendly, helpful staff. Booked a ‘luxury’ room which was a decent size but not sure that it could be described as luxury! Perfectly fine otherwise. Decent choice of food and drink. Outside seating (beer garden) beside the river."

The Valley of Rocks Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"For the price this place is excellent. You are paying the price of a hostel but you have your own room, a decent bathroom and tea making facilities. The hotel has seen better days, and if you want something swanky pay another £100 per night.
Staff were helpful, room was clean, and location is spot on. "
"Loved this hotel - excellent position as a base for us walking the SW coast path. Rooms were lovely and the receptionist was so helpful and a real asset to the hotel team, helpful and welcoming - THANK YOU :) "
"Such lovely owners! Really
Friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing too. Beautiful views and could hear the sea and owls at night! Fabulous!"
"We had an amazing 2 night stay in Lynton and couldn’t have picked a better guesthouse . Drew and Penny are fantastic hosts and clearly care about keeping guests happy , they have a great knowledge of the local area and nothing was too much trouble The house interior looks fantastic and is a credit to their hard work renovating the property . Breakfast is to die for , it was all freshly cooked and local produce , we had no complaints and the dining room had a really pleasant atmosphere . We would recommend to anyone going to Lynton for a short stay and we will definitely be going back to South View on our next stay in Lynton . 10 out of 10 ! Will "
