"My one night stay was a good experience. The staff were very friendly. My room was very spacious with a huge bed. Breakfast was good. My only complaint is that the bath is super slippery when having a shower. I know there is a grab handle but I almost dare not let go of it. I put the bath mat in the bath in the end which solved the problem. I usually take my own shower mat with me but forgot on this occasion, I will remember it next time. Other than that one point my stay was very comfortable. Thank you."

"The location was stunning. The owners were warm, friendly and very helpful. The evening menu was extensive and what we chose was delicious. There was a low carb, low GI meal available which was both welcome and extremely tasty. Breakfast was a feast and set us up for the day. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Strange checkin process, reception is at the Hub not in the Hotel, I may have missed communication on this but a lot of walking about just to check in Car chargers need bettering, current type have no instructions and no staff (5 of them) knew how they worked or more importantly released the cable!"

"Absolutely gob-smacked when we arrived at the Barnstaple Hotel, it was fantastic and totally unexpected. Staff were lovely, ambience great and it was just so welcoming. It was a fairly last minute booking, a one night stay and I hadn't really taken much notice of reviews etc. Great regret that I hadn't packed my swim-wear as the pools looked so enticing. Our room was so comfortable, such a shame that we couldn't spend longer there. Couldn't fault the hotel at all and we will definitely make a point of returning to Barnstaple and spending a few days at the Barnstaple Hotel, it was a holiday in itself."

"The view from the room was spectacular. Sam and Annie were lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Infact we were talking to her about lemon cola that was available years ago and as we were leaving she presented us with a can she had seen in the supermarket. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Lots of little extra touches such as an honesty bar with alcoholic and soft drinks and snacks available 24 hours. Would definitely return if visiting this area again. We wish them all the best for the future."
