Long Beach Hotels, Oak Island

"The motel was clean, staff friendly and parking was free and plentiful. Our view was from the side of the hotel but it was fine. Conveniently located and quiet. We had never been to Oak Island and I’m glad we decided to go! Our room was newly renovated and while there was not a lot of extra amenities, it was more than enough for our basic needs. Someone had mentioned in another review that there was no shampoo/conditioner/lotion and I found that to be helpful and I was prepared. The pier beside of the motel cost $2 a person to go out on and the restaurant was very good as well. Overall a wonderful experience and we are planning on returning!"

"Small space, but effectively used. Liked having the books and DVDs around. The beach view was just the best. I loved being able to see, hear and smell the ocean just by stepping out onto the porch"

"This place was better than we expected. I got to bond with the boys over Super PACman . That brought back memories. We all enjoyed walking out the back and being right on the beach . The chairs to sit on the beach was a great bonus . Thank you for sharing your magical place . I love the octopus art . Clean and beautiful design . Hope we can come back soon. "

"Great area on the inlet, pool, and hot tub.A 3 min bike ride to the beach, so much easier than driving and paying to park.Groceries, restaurants, and Brewery a short drive.We would definitely stay again!!"

"The property is not kept up and many areas of the house do not appear as pictured. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet, nor would the lid stay up. All of the outdoor furniture was either falling apart, rusted or very old and most did not have cushions. We had two separate water leaks with pipes under the house. Many of the kitchen utensils, pots and pans were unusable due to rust or excessive wear and tear therefore I wasn't able to cook a full meal. The bikes provided were completely rusted. And the washer was covered in mildew. The 2nd bathroom doesn't have a full sink, but a camper sized sink. The pool and hot tub were nice and saved the week!"

House was clean Owers was willing to help out with a question I asked about Cons-Problems with setting up tv first daySecond day watching tv in living room the tv goes crazy again Bicycles 1 tire frozen 1 bicycle chain fell off Expose wires from air unit in back closet Afraid if I accidentally touched wires I would get shockedCan see though same closet to closet in next room Ceiling in kitchen and above dining room table has water stains Dining room two chairs had stains on them The light fixture above dining table looks like a person who doesn’t know what they’re doing installed it Curtain on side door has black stains on it Ceiling fan in living room doesn’t work and it hums like it’s trying to work Pillows in some rooms need to be replaced Has told to download house manual to know about house and the night before check out host send some different instructions for checkout"

"We chose not to bring our pet this vacation. There was a house between us and the ocean, but you could see the ocean from this vacation home. It was peaceful to sit out on the balcony and enjoy our brunch. We really enjoyed our time here and found the vacation home clean and cozy for our family. We would be happy to stay here again sometime and plan on telling our friends about this place."

"Beautiful room, looks brand new and was nicely appointed with very nice furniture. The fridge was retro and cute, bed was very comfortable. Some dustier floors than I would have liked but sometimes this is to be expected in beachy environments. This was nothing major, overall the room was lovely and comfortable and I would recommend this as a great place to stay. "
