This was our first stay at the Sand Dunes but definitely won’t be our last. This motel is a jewel. The staff was absolutely AMAZING. Oceanfront and lots of nice little restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was the Beach House Burgers.

The property is older but recently renovated. It is very clean and a great place to stay. Easy access to the beach, restaurants and the pier.

The room was not very clean, the toilet seal was gross, the smell was terribly musty, noise from upstairs was so loud, couldn’t use the coffee machine easily, no chair for watching tv, difficult to get tv working and screen was needing to be repositioned. Sorry , we would not recommend this room

Perfectly located for access to Kure Beach dining, pier, etc. The ocean view room overlooks the pool and parking lot which is not totally scenic, but the ocean more than makes up for it. The only complaint I could possibly make is that the beds squeak very loudly at every small movement—makes sleeping difficult. But this is our second stay at The Sand Dunes, and we love it for the value and convenience.
