LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Only 5 minutes walk to the South Kensington tube station where you can easily connect to the rest of London, and 12 minutes to the V&A Museum. When in London, we eschew the big hotels and look for the hidden boutique jewels. We were not disappointed with our find. Our room #34, a Deluxe double, was contemporary and modern, very clean and very comfortable. Located on the rear of property looking westward out over a very quiet side street. Complimentary bottled water and good tea selection in room. Small room - but completely as expected for this part of London. The staff especially Stefano were attentive, friendly and professional. There was a power cut on the entire street for several hours and the staff kept us informed and even lent a torch (for Americans, that's a flashlight). You can also borrow large umbrellas. We had the cooked breakfast during our stay. The breakfast room is bright, very clean and contemporary decorated. The food choice and quality was good, although their American pancakes are not quite the pancakes I expected (as an American). Espresso drinks are included, so all in all breakfast is a good deal for the most expensive part of London. Service was very good. For dinner without going out too far, we recommend Patara Thai bistro, literally only a stone's throw from the hotel front door. You're also within 20 minutes walk of dozens of great restaurants and shopping.
