My stay at Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5 was fine overall. The hotel itself is quite basic, but it gets the job done, especially if you're looking for a convenient spot near Terminal 5. One thing to be aware of is the cost of the pods that transport you to and from the terminal – they charge £8 each way per person, which isn’t always clear upfront. It’s something to keep in mind if you're considering the hotel based on budget, as it can add up. The room was decently comfortable, and the double glazing with secondary glass did a great job of blocking out the noise from the nearby planes. I barely noticed the airport activity, which was a nice surprise. All in all, a convenient option for quick access to Terminal 5, but do factor in the pod charges when booking.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to Terminal 5. If we had been informed about transport links we would have taken their monorail and saved ourselves a wait of an hour for the hotels shuttle.

Completely fine for an overnight before an early flight, and much cheaper than other options. Worth staying for the novelty of a pod to the terminal....but wouldn't like to linger any longer than necessary in cramped, dated, 70's accommodation.

The POD system was down and had to find a bus to get to the hotel. The lobby of the hotel was nice and clean. The interior of the hotel was run down and dirty. The room itself had clean sheets and bathroom. I didnt sleep well on the hard mattress, no dead bolt on the door just a chain. Furnishings were outdated and covered in dents and scratches. I have another trip via London and will not stay again.

Had a connection from Heathrow the next morning. Very last minute situation. Conveniently took a self driving pod from Heathrow to the hotel. Not upscale by any means but very convenient and comfortable for one night urgent stay ! Reception staff was awesome !!
