"This hotel is in a great location to access the city and transport links. The big glass windows in the restaurant are perfect for sitting and watching the world go by on Rossio square. Due to two days of uninterrupted rain when we visited in Feb 26 l, we did this a fair bit. The staff are helpful and friendly and organised a taxi for our return trip to the airport. We stayed on the 3rd floor in room 309. The rooms are small but have everything you need including robes, slippers and lovely fragranced toiletries. Beds are comfortable, there is a mini bar, safe and coffee maker (we did not use this) in the room. The bathroom is modern and the shower was powerful and very warm. The only negatives for the room was a slight smell of drains in the bathroom and also if you had two medium to large suitcases there would be a lack of space to place them. There was one suitcase rack but really no other space for the second case. Also sound proofing between rooms is not brilliant but the hotel was not full when we stayed so this was not a problem. Breakfast was fantastic with a many options including a made to order omelettes. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant on our final evening and would highly recommend the food, receiving a 50% discount on food was an added bonus. "

"Location- amazing. Walk everywhere with sights, shops, restaurants, transportation at the doorstep. Hotel - clean, unique with a lovely bar, drinks and helpful staff. Rooms are clean, comfortable, generally quiet, thoughtful and lush fully appointment. As a North American- rooms and bathrooms are smaller (European size), hallways are bit dark but it’s the hotel’s design element "

"This place is a gem, classic, old world but so comfortable and refined, amazing staff and service, kindness everywhere, fresh linens and evening turn down, chocolate and pastries, water refreshed daily, no xtra fees for coffee delivered in room. Fabulous bar and lounge, knowledgeable and attentive bar server. There’s nothing transactional about this place. It is all about making guests comfortable. America seems to have forgotten this. Or it all comes at a $$ cost. Not here. Everything is included. What a wonderful place.Can’t wait to come back! "
