"The decor in reception was a little dated but the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming.l and helpful. The rooms we had booked were nice and comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Breakfast had a good choice of hot food."

"It is a true gem of a hotel. Beautiful buildings, both old and new, and a magical garden. Two residents lounges plus a library with pool/snooker table. Reception were efficient and friendly, and the room exceeded our expectations, with wonderful attention to details. I am not a breakfast lover, but there was plenty of xhoice, and frankly the best hotel breakfast I have ever sampled. The situation of the hotel made it easy to walk to the old castle, and Sherborne itself is picturesque and full of history. A wonderful break for us both, and Bruce the dog."

"It was a lovely hotel I would definitely stay again. It was a last minute booking and I wasn't expecting much. I walked into room it had a huge double and a sea view and it was very clean. It was a very very reasonable price for 3 nights especially with a sea view which I wasn't expecting. I am moving to Weymouth and will definitely recomend it to any of my friends who are visiting. I really was impressed."
