"A grade II listed property in a historical part of Shepton Mallet. Took time to read up on the area, would recommend everyone to do that, very interesting. Comfortable bed, clean room and great hosts. Some noise from the road adjacent to the Inn, not a deal breaker. Would I stay here again Yes. "

"Managed to get lower floor room due to disability, cleanliness throughout the hotel needs to be addressed Staff friendly, hotel was cold at times due to doors being left open, bar area was like sitting in a fridge, seating in the dining area were despicable I would have thrown them out before asking people to sit on them, additional lighting in room had cobwebs as extras"

"I had a one night stay at the pecking Mill and I arrived around 9:30pm. Even though the other guests had all gone to bed and there was no one in the pub, the landlord was friendly and accommodating, he was willing to cook me some chips as I hadn't eaten much that day. We had a good chat about travels also. The room was clean and comfortable and I have no complaints about staying there and I would stay again. Thanks Jeff! "
