Lovely rural Dorset pub. Excellent food, locally sourced. Staff very friendly. It is very rural, and that is its charm. Do be prepared for high hedgerows and single track roads but worth it when you get there.

If you fancy a comfortable, clean and friendly Dorset inn with the best of breakfasts and delicious high quality meals, book in at The Marquis of Lorne. Surrounded by wonderful views, walking paths and close to the sea. Great for relaxing without children, also great for young families - an excellent garden play area.

Lovely stay food was excellent. Bar hours a little restrictive and the location although lovely the lanes were a bit intimidating if you don’t know the area.

Fantastic short stay, tucked away deep in the Dorset countryside just like we like, comfortable stay, food was fantastic and staff were so helpful and friendly, can’t recommend this place highly enough, one of the best we have been to hope to return 1 day

A hidden gem. Worth the effort to get there and the dramatic journey on the way back to Dorchester. Food fantastic. Staff lovely. Strongly recommend.

This was a wonderful property which friendly staff. The bar is shut in the afternoon and reopens at 6PM. The food is of a high standard and the breakfast was fantastic. If you near Bridport and you need somewhere to stay this is a must.

Cosy Country Hotel

Very clean cosy and comfortable hotel. The Breakfast was excellent Tea making facility and very nice biscuits in the room. A full length mirror would have made it perfect. 15 minutes from Bridport via some rather narrow lanes. Nice to have a reasonable check in time so we could enjoy a drink in the garden area

The M of L is situated in an tranquil location well off the beaten track. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was fresh, beautifully presented and very reasonbly priced. Would definately stay again if the opportunity arose!
