Although we had a private cabin people were walking in front of our front glass doors frequently. It did not feel private unless all of the curtains were closed. Not great value for money.

Room is dated but kitchen area is renovated. Lake view✓✓!! Hated the tiny shower stall where the shower curtain kept getting to my legs while showering as blown by the ventilation fan over the ceiling. No shower head. Uncomfortable taking shower. No Shampoo provided . Body wash ran out . Great location for Star gazing!!

Wonderful property with ample room. We loved the cabin vibe. We felt safe and the place was clean. It’s easy to walk down to the lake and watch the moon rise and the sun rise. The minor minuses: intermittent WiFi, creaky floors but that’s being really picky.

Gravel Everywhere
Room was clean, however, this is a camping park and there is a gravel road 10’ out your door. The studio room bed is very close to the road. A camper van decided to unload the entire contents of its van on the picnic table in front of our room blocking our view of the lake and then used the laundry room attached to the small six unit motel building. An employee passed by during this event which lasted 2/3 hours and did not take any action. We visited in February and the lupine were not in bloom. The city street lights made it difficult to see the night sky. Next time, I would make Tekapo a day trip due to the lack of good lodging and food in town.

Hi MichelleUnderstand it would be frustrating for someone to block your view. However, the picnic tables and BBQs are for everyones use. We cannot guarantee for Lupin's to be out during your stay, seems a bit harsh to mark us down for this!Cheers

Perfect upgrade from tenting! Nice linens and kettle provided. Not great if you are looking for a hotel-type stay. Standard cabins have no toilet.

Good place to see the stunning view of the lake and stars at night. Good service and nice staff! I came to Tekapo by intercity bus. I am really thankful to the driver who drove me to the bus stop!

Nice little cabin tucked away on the side of the lake. Super close to the hot springs which was nice and lots of walking trails and kayak rentals nearby. Views from cabin were nice but if you want vastly better views you would need to be in the heart of town. Excellent value and nice clean room with friendly service!
