"They were the only hotel that accepted us around 11PM with our dogs, the day before Christmas Eve. Betty made amazing breakfasts! The staff, Erin, Sabrina, Derek, Scott,and Jacob went above and beyond for our family. It was hard not being sad to leave."

"Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable, lots of restaurants and coffee houses near by. Beach is walkable downhill. About a 20 minute walk. Good hotel to stay a night or two. Wouldn't recommend walking back up the hill 😊 There is a free shuttle bus that comes around right by the beach. There’s also a train that goes to Oceanside and other beaches by San Clemente Pier. Parking is pretty tight, but free"

"We loved our stay at the West Coast Surf Inn. It is an old school motel in the best way. Clean, comfortable, and no nonsense. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the room was well kept, and the shower had great water pressure. They even had great local coffee in the room with the coffee maker, which was a really nice touch. Bonus points for actual Charmin toilet paper, which says more about a place than people realize. It is affordable, honest, and clearly a family-run place by folks who actually care about your stay. And if you are lucky, Harvey will be around and you can pet him. We would absolutely stay here again."
