This was a very charming and comfortable hotel with an awesome patio fronting the ocean. The room was very comfortable and included a tea kettle, instant coffee, bottled water, and refrigerator. The shampoo and bath gel smelled really good. Quiet room, comfy bed, great air conditioning.

We loved our stay at Capistrano Coast House! The rooms and property had so much character and when ambiance We enjoyed spending the evening on the patio with the little fireplace. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loved staying here! Me and my finance stayed here a night just because and we loved the location and property! The most beautiful getaway! The room, the patio, the Santal 33 as the soap, WOW! Loved it though would so stay here again!

This is a cute hotel separated from the Pacific Ocean by a highway and railroad tracks, The decor was immaculate. The tile work as good as it gets. You can walk south a couple hundred yards to cross the highway and the tracks, and you are at the beach. Dana Point a mile north and San Clemente a few miles south. We would stay here again.

Very nice, boutique hotel to stay near the beach . It was amazing to hear the ocean when you wake up. The room is small, but the bed is king size and comfortable . Perfect for a relaxing staycation. There’s a tv, ac, bathroom, and some snacks to welcome you. As well as coffee and pastries to begin your morning which was refreshing due to the current state of the economy . I will love to stay here again and get a patio room next time .

This place is truly unique and charming. It’s not your typical hotel with lots of amenities, but the character of the rooms and the incredible proximity to the beach more than make up for it. Yes, it’s close to the road, so you will hear some traffic and the occasional train passing by—but you’ll also wake up to the beautiful sound of waves crashing against the rocks. There’s something very peaceful and special about being so close to the ocean. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, one-of-a-kind coastal experience.

The hotel was fine. The location is ideal. The parking worked out well. The “continental breakfast” person called in sick my first morning and there was no backup plan. Be aware, these rooms are small. Picture a bed in the middle of the room with 4’ space on all 4 sides and a small bathroom. I was on a solo trip so it wasn’t too bad for one person. I think as a couple, more than one night would start to feel pretty tight.

Location and property itself was well maintained and offered nice touches such as a chiminea with comfortable furniture outside and music and well appointed dishes and in room coffee etc. The only disappointment was the “continental breakfast” which was coffee and a muffin. Luckily, the host that checked us in hinted as much and we picked up some fruit and yogurt from the grocery store to round out the morning meal.

It was so cozy and right by the beach! I’m definitely coming back—we had such a great time. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, like “Ocean Front” beautiful. You’re conveniently located near Dana Point and San Clemente, which means tons of great places to eat and drink. They even had a record player with some records, and you could connect your phone via Bluetooth to play music too. There was one thing I didn’t expect: our room didn’t have a closet, but that wasn’t a problem because they had hangers and a place to hang your clothes. The staff was so attentive and pleasant.

My husband and I stayed this passed weekend and we just say we were so impressed with everything. From the minute we walked in the door the guy welcomed us right away with great dinner suggestions advised to let him know when we wanted our chimney turned out in the patio. We loved it and as locals this was a perfect get away because it felt cozy but the structure was beautiful we said we will be coming very often to just unwind.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Coffee and muffins in the moening in theita court yard was great. Location was stellar to hear the ocean and walk to the sand. The room was a little tight to walk around a very large four poster bed. The bed was very comfortable. Our biggest surprise was our room did not have air conditioning that we could get to turn on. We slept fine anyway but it was unexpected.

A very charming hotel. Loved the location and the convenient parking next to the rooms. Especially loved the mattress and pillows, which were incredibly comfortable. Staff were also extremely polite and helpful. Only critiques would be to remove the custom frames around the TV so you can easily turn it on/off and change channels without standing right on top of it. We will be back!
