Old but fit for purpose
The batch is old, I was a little disappointed on arrival that one of the bedrooms stunk of cigarettes (ah the days when people smoked inside), the carpet was covered in dog hair and has likely been years since the batch has had a good vacuum (I tried but the vacuum cleaner was useless). We had to fix up handles that fell off pans, struggled with the oven (and bbq) and had to fix some of the slats in the master bedroom after a terrible night's sleep. BUT all that aside with 2 toddlers, and dogs in tow the home being rough actually made it a very relaxed holiday as we were not worried about shoes inside etc etc. The location is prime! Right on the lake and the section was great for an Easter egg hunt. We had a great time and would come back.

Lovely lakeside bach
Stayed with family at the relaxing lakeside bach. Spent time walking, swimming and boating. Was great being handy to everything. Bach was comfortable with everything we needed.

A very comfortable place
A restful place for 2 very tired people. The Freeview tv didn’t work but all else was fab. VRBO sent us a CheckIn process… the codes sent kept coming faster than 15 minutes as was meant to be so the CheckIn emailed code was a disastrous experience.

Perfectly placed Bach
We loved our stay in Kuratau - being right next to the swimming area and boat ramp was fantastic - our family could park at the house and walk down to the ski area to meet us at the boat and we could just pop out and swim whenever the heat got too much. It meant we really got to enjoy making use of the lake. Would love to come back!

Great spot, so much to do with the kids and easy to get to boat ramp. Lovely location, would love to be back asap and really didn’t want to leave. Cool kiwi batch! super easy communication and a pleasure to deal with!

Fabulous
Great kiwi bach. Excellent location - spent many hours either on the decking or down by the lake which the property borders on. Would love to come back some time with the grandchildren as they'd love it. So close to jetty that all the kids jump off. Such fun!

Peace and quiet
Perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxed family trip. Grandparents enjoyed walking by the lake and kids enjoyed kayaking on it and roasting mashmellows.

Long weekend in a beautiful spot

Fabulous break
A real kiwi bach with a great cosy feel. Right on a brilliant part of the lake, very safe swimming for the children. We loved having the use of kayaks, paddleboards and the dinghy at the property, and then the BBQ for dinner. Benedict was great with communication. Our family had a fabulous break and would love to come and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay, such a nice location beside the lake. The teens caught some trout of the kayaks, we all had a go on the paddle boards, plenty to do or just relax in the sun.

Lakeside Kuratau
Quintessential Kiwi bach in a fantastic location less than 100 metres from the Lakeside. Generous enclosed deck is private and looks out to the lake. Safe for small kids and dogs. Stayed in the middle of winter but the heatpump and heaters in each of the rooms kept us all toasty. Bach is down a long driveway with plenty of private flat space to park multiple cars and a large boat. Bach was equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. Plenty of sofas and chairs for relaxing. We enjoyed our stay.

Omori Bay is lovely
The classic kiwi bach was located right by the water. The boats and paddle boards were well used, a great extra. Sunny living area with nice sized deck for BBQ.

Lovely location but not perfect
My sister and I were looking to get away from the craziness of city life after lockdown so chose this property for its peaceful location. Unfortunately there was construction going on next door for the week that we were staying so please be mindful that this may still be going on for a while. Otherwise we loved our lakeside geteaway so close to the beautiful lake and all of the amazing nature including the very cute rabbits that are around ! However the actual house could possibly do with a declutter and deep clean including changing the mattress toppers / protectors which definitely needed replacing n personal shower toiletries removed from the shower. A beautiful location but not a perfect stay for the daily rental rate that you pay to stay there.....But Thankyou for our lovely stay there.

Wonderful spot!
We were looking for a comfy, low key, lakeside property and this was absolutely perfect! An older style bach, with an awesome kitchen, including dishwasher and all the amenities you need, plus a beautiful large deck. Bed was so comfy too. All of this right on the lakeside. We’ll be back :-)

A great location to soak in the views and stroll along the waters of the. Quiet location but close to corner shop and Turangi shops easy drive. Nice place for our dog though not fenced.
