Not a good experience
Old tired Hotel which is in need of an overhaul. Rooms smell and are very damp. Had the poo tank outside our room so moved as the room smelt like a toilet. Had to run around the shower to get wet as the water presser is nothing, toilet didn’t like flushing so needed to press 3/4 times good for water saving. Second time at the hotel and it hasn’t improved so won’t be back. 6 years between stays.

Nice resort on the beach noting need to check this when booking as also have across the road (that is also ok) Stayed at chalet which is great. Large comfy room. Swimming pool close to the beach is great. Food is good, pad kapow pork, Tom yum etc

Anniversary upgrade
We were upgraded to a ocean front villa for our anniversary which was greatly appreciated. The spa bathroom was awesome especially the tub area. We did have some issues with the shower faucet not getting hot water as well as the bathroom sink didn't have hot water. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Too bad that there was no beach as showed on there hotel photos.

We stayed for a week, really enjoyed it. Bed very comfortably very and room very clean. Well kept pool, sun loungers supplied also towels easy to fall asleep listening to the ocean. Staff very friendly.

We had to ask to move rooms as the first one felt like it was falling apart, broken furniture, towel rail falling off the wall, shelf fell off (riddled with whiteant). Rooms were old and dated, in desperate need of repair. The restaurant was shut undergoing renovations, which we were not made aware of when booking

The stay at Kacha Resort was great. Staff are very professional and focused on their customers. With the use of two pools with swim up bars, ocean front lounge chairs and umbrellas, and buffet breakfast it was perfect. Mini marts, shopping, and restaurants all in walking distance. Don't forget the restaurants at the hotel, food and service was great. The family enjoyed the Seaview all three nights!

Well priced, central hotel.
We stayed here for three nights after a hike in the Himalayas. The hotel was wonderful and a bit more luxurious than anticipated. The price was terrific too.

I’ve stayed there two different times now and would definItaly stay again. The resort is divided into two sections; the seaside and the hillside. We stayed on the hillside section where our room overlooked one of two pools. The local area is touristy yet quiet. There are bars nearby but they’re far enough away that they’re no disturbance. Such a great vibe on the street once all the food vendors come out in the early evening. Love the included breakfast too.

Overall nice resort.
Some of the staff was very friendly, but overall not as nice as most resorts I have stayed in Thailand. Rooms were cleaned well--would be better if they didn't leave the doors open while cleaning because did allow some mosquitoes entry. Towels need to be replaced, a little worn. Need to improve amenities, no soap provided and refillable pump bottles in my shower did not work. Nice pool area and great location to most of the white sand beach area. Certainly served it's purpose but seemed a little expensive compared to other similar/even nicer looking resorts. Great sunsets here.

The resort is in good location and presentable. Needs pest control. Has huge variety of breakfast... But as we are vegetarian did not enjoy much.... Though had selected the hotel seeing that it does cater to vegetarian. Coffee was awesome. As I was not well asked for banana for my breakfast.... They could not arrange as it was not in their menu. So my point is staff is not helpful.I also find them rude.... Because the first evening when we were trying to get familiar to the place..... We tried to ask in reception the way to a restaurant and the staff very rudely answered us to wait. You might be having lot of check in but you cannot be rude as you are in service sector.

Good hotel by beach
Good breakfast selection of food catering for all tastes. Lovely pool by beach - not too crowded (July is off season though). Good Aromatherapy message at Majesty Spa. Staff very friendly and work hard to be so helpful. Great location near shops, bank, great eating places. Will stay again.

The bed smelled like vomit. I never want to have to sleep on the smell of someone else’s vomit again. Yuk! We arrived when it was raining and the walkways were incorrectly marked so ran through twice as much rain as we needed to back and forth trying to figure out where to go. When tile is wet any hair shows up. Hair everywhere! Sweep the halls and walkways guys. We booked an ocean view room and got a back of a building room. Reception tried to argue that with me for a while before going to check and came back and admitted their mistake. Next day we ended up SOOOO sick. About an hour or two after breakfast it just suddenly came on and we could barely get back to the resort on our scooters. One of us ended up having to go to the clinic to get an IV because he threw up so much and so fast. Mentioned it to reception but they suddenly could not understand any English. But offered a free ride to clinic. Too late we had already spent hours there. Groundsmen did a great job. Pool was nice. Resort is divided by the main road so if you want to be on the beach side specifically then make sure you book the right room.

All 4 of us got food poisoning the day we left.
Driving home I was hit with chills, vomiting and diahreah. Had to stop in Klaeng for the night. 2am my 6 year old son came down with the same symptoms. By 8am we were all sick. Must have been the food or a food preparers dirty hands we did not eat anywhere else.

Firstly, on behalf of Kacha Resort and Spa, Koh Chang, we are wholeheartedly sorry. Now, Trat Province Public Health Officers come to our resort and had inspection at our Kacha Restaurant Kitchen (breakfast cooking area), Le Zanne Restaurant and the area nearby. We did to improve how to keep kitchen facilities clean and protect food contamination.

Go for the beachside rooms...Amazing Breakfast
Stayed here twice now, once in one of the hillside rooms, and once in one the beachside rooms. Very glad I stayed in the beachside rooms this time, as the hillside swimming pool decking is very dangerous, rusty nails sticking out and broken bits of wood, some parts are cordoned off, some parts the wooden planks have snapped in half. The beachside is newly built, wifi is patchy, reception said not guaranteed in the rooms. Breakfast is wonderful, must of gained a few pounds, asian style choice rice soup, curries,etc, western style, fried eggs,omelettes,pancakes, no real decent sausages in Thailand they make do with hotdog style ones. Overall I will stay again, lovely location, food stalls just outside the hotel after 5pm, but they really need to replace all the sunbeds and wooden decking asap, preferably using something other than wood.

Great Beachfront Location
I have stayed at the Kacha Resort many times over the past 15 years. This is the first visit since they completed their expansion and remodeling project. The hotel is divided into two sections on either side of the main road in White Sands beach (beachfront and mountainside). There are 2 very large swimming pools. The beach side has a beachfront infinity pool over looking the ocean. Both are great for relaxing, lots of lounge chairs, umbrellas, swim-up bar and comprehensive food service. Nice tropical gardens. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room. The room was a little dated, but the bathroom has been updated with separate walk-in shower and bath-tub. The room, bathroom and balcony are all large. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. There were a few minor maintenance issues which should have been identified by their housekeeping staff prior to our arrival, but upon notice they were promptly fixed. The buffet breakfast was just fair, sufficient to start the day, but not worth it if it is not included in your room price. WiFi only works around the pool, lobby and restaurants. Good resort location for families - lots of kids running around. In the past it has been mostly visited by individuals, but this last trip since their expansion, there were a few large Chinese tour groups which notably changed the tranquil atmosphere. We usually visit during low season, so we find it a good value.
