"With this hotel - the thing you are really paying for is the location - which is amazing. The mattresses on the bed were memory foam and very comfortable so that's a big plus as well. It was amazing to sleep with the windows open and hear the ocean all night. Literally on the beach and had a great view of the lighthouse that's right there and a nice walk in the morning. The fridge works. It's pretty clean. The coffee maker didn't work. There was no body wash in the body wash container. The hair dryer was burned out, literally melted. There was supposed to be someone at the front desk at 7:30 am but they weren't there until after 8 am. The restaurant and bar had a single server/bartender and a cook. (I'm not sure if she was doing all three.) She also was making a bloody mary but took it into the kitchen and I think it was for someone in there because she didn't take it out to the table. People were waiting to eat but left because no one came out for quite a while. Will I stay there again the next time I am in Crescent City - maybe. It certainly wasn't a dirty, rat infested hotel. It was clean enough. I am just saying that some people might want a nicer accommodation."
