My family loved this private and serene cabin on our road trip. We slept great and enjoyed the peaceful area and atmosphere of the cabin and enjoyed making a nice breakfast and dinner before headed to the redwood national state parks for a long day of adventures

We had a fantastic stay at the Fern Hook Cabin. It was so clean, had everything we needed, the bed was super comfortable and my son who opted to sleep on the couch said that was super comfortable as well. Another mattress was provided, but he preferred sleeping on the couch. The ferns, redwoods and other vegetation surrounding the cabin was just so beautiful, lush and full of vibrant green colors. Each cabin is tucked into their own little area that it is very private. We had good communication with the host, he made some really good recommendations on hikes as well as restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Cottage in the Redwoods

Our stay in the redwoods was delightful. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. And there isn’t a much much better way to start the day than a cup of tea on the porch early in the morning in the midst of those wonderful trees.

We had a wonderful stormy night in cozy cabin in the woods. Very comfortable and clean. It was a fun place to get away and enjoy the stormy weather!

My husband and I would normally be camping, but we had our infant and this was a great alternative. There are a few cabins nestled in a wooded area right off the highway. Our cabin felt private and there was not a lot of traffic on the highway, so there was minimal noise and practically no light pollution. The cabin was clean and modern, hiking and scenic drives are very close by, and there are food options in either Crescent City or Brookings, OR (about a 20-minute drive either way). There is also a kitchen if you prefer to cook and a functional fridge. Most places we stayed during our trip have terrible refrigerators, so keeping milk and other items cold was a challenge, except for this location. There was no crib or playpen, but James accommodated us with a twin mattress, which worked perfectly. There is also no TV or WiFi, so if you need or want either, bring a tablet or hope that your cell service reaches that area. We have T-Mobile and Metro, and they both worked. Other than no tv (similar to a camping vibe), the stay was great. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway near the Redwoods, this is a fantastic option.

My husband and I stayed at this location for a week and we loved it!! It was clean, had exactly what we needed, host was responsive and just a cozy spot to be. After a really long hike, we were thankful for a nice bathtub to soak in!! We would highly recommend!!

Great, quiet, clean place. We were close enough to the Smith State Park hiking trails that we hiked Boy Scout Tree and Stout Meadow in time to go back, take a shower and check out before 11:00. The only drawback is no wifi or TV. Bring a book or some games and you'll love it.

This was a perfect cabin, small, but for the price everything needed. Lightly stocked kitchen (had pans, oil, salt, pepper etc), a stove/oven and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. Easy to find.
