Running Bear on Fort Creek

Running Bear on Fort Creek

10/10 Excellent
"I loved my stay here and found the home had everything I needed and more. The kitchen was very well stocked, there was plenty of room to spread out, and the bed was very comfortable. I work remotely and was able to work from here as well. There were a few brief electricity/WiFi interruptions, but everything came back quickly. The well water is discolored and has a bit of a smell, though it didn’t bother me for showering or laundry. The owners provide a filtered water dispenser for drinking and cooking, which was appreciated. The guidebook provided had info for a massage therapist nearby, and I cannot recommend her enough. Definitely get a massage with Kim! The creek behind the property was my favorite part. It was so relaxing to sit by for meals, work, or to unwind. I loved watching the beavers and ducks. Stargazing was also wonderful. It’s close to the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park, though the East Rim is currently closed for construction, so sites on the east side are still about a 1.5-hour drive away. The duplex walls are quite thin, so I could hear the guests next door moving around, but they were quiet and respectful. The creek also connects to a resort next door, and children occasionally came onto the property to play and were quite loud. I could see this being a privacy/safety consideration for solo travelers, though I personally stayed aware of my surroundings and never felt unsafe. Overall, I felt very comfortable here and would happily stay again."

Secluded Hidden Gem Mazama House near Crater Lake

10/10 Excellent
"This is a quaint older home with a full kitchen and gas grill/griddle combination on the deck. It was well appointed and comfortable. We cooked breakfast there every day and one lunch and one dinner without any issues. It is very close to Crater Lake and provides great access to the park. The Property Manager is close by and very responsive. It is a very scenic area in a valley surrounded by mountains. It was as advertised."

Secluded Log Cabin Bordering National Forest - 45 Minutes to Crater Lake

Secluded Log Cabin Bordering National Forest - 45 Minutes to Crater Lake

10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved the cabin and our kids had so much fun! They stocked everything so well and there were so many games and outdoor activities that no one was ever bored. The zip line is a particular favorite! We stayed during very hot days (high of 94) and even though there is no AC the cabin stayed fairly cool just by opening windows at night and then closing things up in the morning! Be aware that the cabin is about 25 minutes to any store though so come prepared with groceries or stop on your way through to save time!"

10/10 Excellent
"The property was great! Very clean, nice breakfast, good access to water for our water bottles, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fitness center. Wish the staff could have accommodated a cheaper second room for us (when my first night with my snoring mom was a trial :)); it was a bit of a bummer to be told I needed to pay max rates when the hotel still had 15% capacity left and I’d already paid for another room… but that’s the way it goes during peak season, I guess! Otherwise, great stay."
