"The place was well stocked and comfortable. It was also closely located to the Wood River Reserve which mae walks and birding pleasant. The one thing I had not researched prior was the availability of restaurants in the area so I was glad thete was a Dollar General nearby."

"Pros: Check-in was keyless and easy. Beds were fine, kitchen was well stocked with tools for cooking. The lake views were also a draw for sure, and it was quiet. Cons: It was a hot day and the inside of the house was VERY warm (88 F). Despite what was advertised, there is NOT central AC. There is a small mobile Toshiba unit in the back bedroom, but it was off. When we turned it on it leaked and sprayed water everywhere (which someone knew, because there was a towel on the floor under it). No instructions were provided about what to do, and multiple calls to the manager went unanswered until almost 1 AM that night. The manager eventually texted at 10:15 the next day saying to close the windows and use the broken Toshiba. Our only other options were one fan with a taped-up cord, and a switch for a whole-house fan that didn’t work. Eventually we looked up the AC model online and found instructions for how to drain it. A hassle that had to be repeated every 3 hours day and night if it was to operate at all, but it was not capable of cooling other rooms. There were also dead gnats and spiderwebs everywhere. They know it’s not clean and have a note on the fridge asking guests to complain directly to them since there’s no cleaning fee. But this was days/weeks of gnats, not a one-off hiccup. It is also worth noting (though this is mentioned in the listing) that the water here is brown and sulfurous, so a water cooler is provided. "

"Perfect place for a family trip to crater lake. My 15 year old loved the grounds. He even took a swim in the freezing cold creek! We had a great time playing corn hole and pickle ball. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again!"

"Such a beautiful setting! At the edge of town and you look over a lovely field to the mountains. Little tiny grocery 1 block away. Not a ton otherwise near by. You wont get closer to crater lake unless you are at the lodge! Clean house, lovely yard with a fire pit. Kitchen/utensils adequate for cooking. FYI no washer available and no dishwasher (other than your kids. :). Loved our stay -would definitely go back if in the area!!!! "

"We enjoyed our stay. The river was so nice. Beds were warm and comfy and kuchen had plenty of gathering space! Only downfall is the water smells horrible. We went to dollar general and used water from there. Only thing i wish was mentioned before we got here is that there is no grocery store nearby. Had i been smart enough to do my research i would've known to stop before getting there. Not a big deal, just thought it would be nice if it were mentioned for ppl like me lol. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We ended it by watching a bald eagle flying over us. The nature here is incredible. "
