Dinner is unbelievably huge and diverse (OMG!), breakfast is fantastic too. "We had a wonderful stay. The atmosphere, food, staff, and hospitality are amazing. We loved the onsen available on site, but also managed to visit other onsen in town (you can get an onsen hopping pass from the town visitor center). Overall very tranquil and relaxing. One thing to note is that the pillows can be small and you may need to ask for larger or additional pillows. Highly recommend and would visit again. "

"First time staying in a Ryokan and to our surprise, they send us to the “annex” which was not as nice as the main building of the hotel. We did have a spacious western style room and our small private bathtub. We didn’t really get to experience staying at a Ryokan since we were in a building its rooms and no baths. The space was ok. Needs a bit of upkeep."

"Very clean and very comfortable. They are very vague about you putting everything back. Does it mean you have to wash all of your dishes and put them back exactly? Communication was lacking. Of the two emails I sent, I never got a response. I left some stuff there and asked if it was found and they decided not to answer me. I ended up leaving it there so I suppose someone else is not enjoying it."

"The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "

"Stayed two nights. Had a very nice room on the 12th floor. Check-in at 3:00 p.m. was fast and easy. Hotel was very modern and very tastefully decorated, and it has a very nice onsen (with sauna). I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, so I cannot comment on the food quality and service. The hotel is right next to Kumamoto Station; the station and the shopping mall below it offer some shops and a few restaurants, but otherwise, the area around the station is very quiet and businesslike. Overall, I quite enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you!"
