"Huge property with a convenient monorail system that takes you between the different towers, which made getting around easy. The room itself was clean and the staff throughout the property were friendly. The resort didn’t feel overly crowded, which made for a more relaxing stay. Had lunch at the grill. Ordered hamburger and fries. Fries were good. Service was slow, One day the monorail broke down, but the hotel provided alternative transportation to the Palace and Ocean towers, which I appreciated. There is an ice machine available on every floor, but when I went to refill my water bottle, the water was warm which was a bit disappointing. Also, the room didn’t include robes or slippers, which I would have expected for a property like this. If you plan to visit the nearby shopping center, a shuttle is available, be aware there’s a $5 charge each way. Parking is also pricey—self-parking is around $48/day, so you might as well valet for $7 more since it includes in-and-out privileges. I also tried to visit a shop in the Makai Tower but it was closed every time I went. The luau is pricey, the chairs are a bit uncomfortable but that’s how most luaus are. Food is good and service was excellent. The show itself kept me entertained. The décor is nice but a bit confusing, with a mix of Hawaiian and Asian influences that didn’t always feel cohesive. Overall, a pleasant stay with some nice amenities, but a few inconveniences and added costs to keep in mind."

"The hotel is doing everything to turn guest away. The price includes just the room. No water in the room, no breakfast is included. Everything is extra and super inflated prices. Very unwelcoming. It is a trap. As a greeting I heard “we have you for 9 days “, and they did. For the last time. I don’t mind spending a lot of money but I would like to be treated like a guest, and not trapped. "

"I cannot begin to explain the EXCEPTIONAL service, amenities, accommodations and experience at this resort. We fell in love with Hualalai and will 1000% be returning. I came here with my husband for my 50th birthday and was treated with such kindness. The staff here are above and beyond and honestly, as a frequent Marriott Ambassador Elite traveler, I have to say that Marriott’s higher end brands need to step it up to match the class, ease, and care that Four Seasons has shown us. Look no further if you are deciding on which Hawaii island to visit. We are looking at property here already if that tells you anything!
