"Great room, enough for 2 people. AC worked, WiFi worked, staff had beach towels that you could get and exchange everyday. Very close to beach and convenient for bus stops. Breakfast was very mid, not great honestly. Everything else was good."

"This review is regarding room 3803 which is a Mountain View penthouse. It was exactly as pictured, very clean, a little dated but I prefer carpet and some of those more comfortable finishes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the entire suite filled with natural light, sun streaming through in the morning. Plenty of space and storage for suit cases and beach gear. The rest of the property is nothing special but it provides a peaceful oasis in the chaos. It is a bit of a walk to central waikiki but it's close to the beech. I would definitely stay again. I recommend this for a larger group versus cramming into a more centrally located hotel room."

"The Hawaiian monarch was in a great location for my needs. The pool area, the little store in the lobby, and the restaurant in the lobby, all very convenient. My host, Eva, was very attentive to my needs and my questions. I rented a motorcycle and having parking was really convenient."
