Great place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Location is right on the beach with great sunset views. You do have to walk a little to be able to swim in the ocean but that wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent view, very nice location, great place to stay

We actually already booked another stay at Mahana #718 for February after our stay at the end of September! The views are really great. The location is really nice. Snorkeling from the beach just behind the Mahana is really fun -- tons of different fish just feet from the shore. I'm looking forward to our next trip.

We stayed at the Mahana many years ago on our first visit to Maui and the property is just as lovely as it was then. We would highly recommend this particular condo as it has everything you need and the location is perfect.

Caution! You might not want to leave!

Communicative hosts, views for days, rainbows, whales and all the amenities you need for an amazing stay. The Lanai furniture needs a refresh, but otherwise an amazing property and location.

What a view!

This property was beautiful. Location is everything. Being able to walk the beach path every day made my trip. We enjoyed our daily whale watch from those comfy chairs. What a treat it was to stay at this location. Comfy bed, clean, well stocked and easy communication. Thanks for a great stay.

Mahana/Kaanapali #718

The view from the unit was absolutely amazing! What a beautiful ocean view! We loved having the sliders open allowing the ocean breeze to flow thru even keeping them open at night to listen to the crashing waves. The unit was spotlessly clean and well stocked with all the kitchen utensils, dishes and pans you may need for a longer stay. We appreciated the beach chairs that were available for our use and the ability to do laundry right in the unit. The one and only downside was that the microwave wasn’t working but with some ingenuity on our part we managed to work around that. All in all a great place to stay and we would definitely book this unit again in the future! Mahalo!

Whale watching

My husband and I came here for just two days of rest and relaxation after working several days on another island. The listing said that you may see Whales through the end of March. Well, we were not hopeful, since it was the very end of March. Boy were we surprised, we saw them breaching -whole families of them. It was just amazing. The unit is very very clean and modern and just so very comfortable to be in. We are so happy we found this listing and would certainly come again.

The location is great--the beach is perfect for walking, snorkeling, or lounging. There's a boardwalk that goes about 1 mile but you can go even further if you get around the black rock. The view is spectacular. And the best part, the condo has everything you could need: binoculars, beach towels, beach chairs, extra sunscreen, and a great kitchen with sharp knives and quality pots/pans.

Amazing view!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Aston Mahana Resort and it is our favorite. We had a 1 bedroom unit. You literally have floor to ceiling windows of the ocean! It looks like you are on a cruise ship you are THAT close to the ocean. This unit was beautifully decorated and very clean. They even had a box of chocolate macadamia nuts waiting for us. Everything worked as well! Usually something doesn’t work when you stay somewhere but everything worked great and I felt that they really had thought of everything you would need. We certainly plan to come back! Aloha!

Meghan to the rescue.

We were scheduled to stay at the same condo complex, but our co do booking got canceled due to maintenance. We were moved to a respite near by, but the view was not what I’d paid for and we were very upset. I checked VRBO and there this condo was. It hadn’t been available when we first got to Maui. I got ahold of Meghan and she booked us for the rest of our trip at a great price. She made everything so welcoming and homey. I loved our stay and thank Meghan for helping my Hawaiian dreams come true.

The unit had everything we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. We especially like the backpack cooler since we were traveling with kids and needed to be as hands free as possible. We would not hesitate to stay here again! Our only recommendation is that they should replace the lanai chairs. They were rusting and stained some of our clothing just from sitting in them and hanging things to dry on them.

The air conditioning worked well, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. Everything was clean, updated, and very well organized. Bed was very comfortable. The location was amazing, within walking distance of multiple beaches, 7 min drive to Whalers Village. We saw sea turtles every single day at the beach directly below the condo. Some very minor construction noise noted in the surrounding condos but nothing horrible. Would highly recommend this place!

Oceanfront property in Maui

Location was superb! The view and ocean sounds were amazing. You can't help but take in the amazing views from the living room and bedroom. Unfortunately, there were some communication issues with the management company when I arrived and I contacted another # provided in the listing and was slightly scolded by the management company for contacting the other number - which happened to be the owner. I will note, the owner is VERY kind and responsive so that is why I didn't give lesser stars for communication. Regarding cleanliness, I could not give less than 3 stars. When I arrived, there was a pair of (what appeared to be used/worn underwear) left on the floor in the master bedroom. When I contacted the property manager, I was asked if someone needed to come to the room and dispose of the item. I was offended. Keep in mind, this was the moment I arrived in Maui. I doubt the last thing a guest wants to do is clean up someone's underwear when they enter their paid vacation rental. Nonetheless, someone came and cleaned up the item and the owner was very apologetic about the issue. That said, I believe the property management company should take some advice from the owner on how to manage these types of issues. I think it could have been handled with a lot more understanding and cooperation. Other than that, the stay went well. Unit was stocked with beach/pool items for my stay and it was beautifully decorated.

Check in process was super easy. My husband and I spent lots of time out on the lanai sipping coffee in the morning and wine at night. The views are to die for. The ocean is so close and it would lull us to sleep every night. Mahana's location is also excellent. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and it was a short drive for anything else we wanted to do in the area. We hope to be back someday! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us! We wanted privacy, a view of the water, and a homey feel.We couldn't have anticipated how wonderful our stay would be. The condo had just changed ownership and there was brand new furniture, appliances and beach supplies. The owners and Hawaii Life clearly put so much thought into making the condo comfortable and stylish. That view!!! I still can't get over it!Megan from Hawaii Life greeted us on our check in and welcomed us into the unit. There was a thoughtful welcome package and a helpful binder on local restaurants, activities, and services. Megan was available to answer questions and concerns for us during our stay, but we really didn't contact her at all since everything was so perfect.The beach equipment was brand new and of great quality. Everything was sparkling clean! The only slight negative (and this is so minor) was that the washer/dryer was older and couldn't hold a lot in it.We wholeheartedly recommend the Mahana 718 for anyone looking for a quiet slice of paradise! We will definitely be back.

4th Stay on Maui

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This will have been our 3rd time using VRBO to book a Maui stay. 3 years in a row. I love using VRBO because the variety of options. We have stayed along Kaanapali beach each stay. Our first visit was at Maui Kai and we loved the corner penthouse condo. But, overtime we walked by Mahana, we said how much we would like to stay there. So, the next year and this year we did stay at Mahana. Last year was a studio and was wonderful. We stayed 17 nights, and that was an amazing visit. This year we made a last minute reservation as we were not planning on a Maui trip at all. We were lucky enough that the Mahana 718 was available. The 1br/1ba was beautiful, appointed with everything we needed. The balcony was great, but the open living room and HUGE floor to ceiling windows were such a bonus. Our stay was short, only 7 nights. We could easily spend 2 weeks or longer in this condo. The Mahana property itself was under some remodeling. There was a bit of inconvenience, but it did not ruin our fun. The grounds remained beautiful and inviting. The pool area was clean and relaxing with a view of the ocean just steps away.
