"This was our second stay at Ted’s place. We came back because it is perfect for us. Very nice and comfortable house with amazing views. Great location with restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and trailheads all 5 minutes away. Also easy to get to downtown Oakland or Berkeley. Ted is a very responsive host as well."

"Don’t let our first impression discourage you! The cottage was smaller than expected for 4 people full time and the bedroom had a funny smell. There is no door between the bedroom and rest of the space (just a curtain). Finally, it would have been difficult to watch TV from the couch (but who does that on vacation?). Overall it was very nice for just 2. Our mistake was trying to house 4 rather than just sleep 4. We loved the great kitchen supplies and lovely bathroom, adorable private patio, and the sweet and responsive host. We felt safe and secure, it was relatively quiet for a normal neighborhood, and once we got settled in, it was a really great stay! Pay close attention to the details in the listing because there are no misrepresentations! It’s a great little cottage!"

"It was very clean and had all the amenities: soft soap dispensers, bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Plenty of towels, hand towels and washcloths…washer/dryer combo with plenty of laundry detergents and dryer sheets…plenty of cups, glasses, plates, utensils and dishwashing soap. The Safeway grocery store is only a block away so you can easily stock up on food and other necessities.The living room has a small table that I found perfect for working on with my computer. There is a television with remote, but I never turned it on.There is a cute patio with a cast iron table and four chairs: a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Also, the patio is surrounded by beautiful plants and feels like a little oasis.The casita is located behind a large house/business so that blocks any sound that may come from the street. It was extremely peaceful and quiet.There is no dedicated parking space, but I never had a problem finding off-street parking; there are plenty of spaces across and up the street. When I checked in and out, I found plenty of street parking close by so that I could easily unload and load my car.The bed is a futon-type mattress on wooden slates that I found quite comfortable.There were plenty of outlets in the bedroom, living room and kitchen so all my electronics had conveniently dedicated areas for charging.I would definitely stay here again. It is perfect for a single business professional or solo traveler."

"Single bedrooms are worse in person and pictures are not shown for it. Very dirty inside, nothing seems to be cleaned at all except maybe the sheets. Every room is a smoking room, so everything smells like cigarettes, including; pillows, sheets, towels, floor, and AC blows out cigarette smell. "
