"Very clean accommodation. I felt safe. Hotel management makes safety a priority. Although this is a boutique hotel without a lobby with coffee or drinks, there is a 7-Eleven a couple doors down and plenty of coffee shops and eateries about a 10 minute walk up the street on Piedmont Avenue. Only thing that was a little concerning was that the windows are single paned and sound carried very easily into my street facing room. The hotel manager reassured me that the rooms that are away from the street don’t have the same issue. "

"LOCATION - 5 Stars - Great, especially if visiting UC Berkeley; next to restaurants and shops and steps away from the University STAFF - 2 Stars - There were only 2 or 3 young girls at the front desk that we met during our 3 day stay. All of them looked unhappy at their job and seemed a better fit at a Thrift Store. CLEANLINESS - 3 Stars - much to be desired, specifically in the bathroom. Let's just say I was not about to use the bathtub. Throughout the room and bathroom, it looked like a deep clean was much needed. RESTAURANT - 4 Stars - Nothing spectacular, my salad was not fresh, but prices were reasonable and the service was fast. OTHER - 3 Stars - There was a very strong smell in the lobby, which I could not say what it was - candle or something else. While the decor in the lobby was interesting and inviting, it seemed that students and random people could just come in, buy a coffee and sit there using their computers. The room was a good size (we had the corner Campenile view) however, it did not feel clean, there was no pen, not even a single piece of paper to write a note. The Front Desk lobby area did not have any interesting materials on the area, what to do or see and I was not about to ask the front desk ladies, they did not inspire much confidence. There was no concierge either. Overall good location, but not even a 4 Star hotel."

"PROS: Host communication was always very prompt; Location was convenient - walking distance to stores and restaurants; Size of the home was great (two full bedrooms, and two large living/family rooms); nice size kitchen, kitchen nook, and laundry area; the home was clean with ample bedding and towels. CONS: Stairs up to the home make it a challenge when you're traveling with a dog or bringing up your luggage; thin walls and floors (I did not feel comfortable leaving my 5-month-old puppy in his crate for more than a few minutes for fear that he would bother my neighbors); busy street so it is worth the extra 12/day for off-street parking; the off-street parking was a very narrow driveway, so if you're driving a large SUV (as I was), it can be a challenge getting in and out; a very small garden area in the back was not very conducive for a dog. Having to take him down the stairs and around the block to do his business was very cumbersome; no AC and it was pretty warm when I was there (they do have three portable fans though); no dishwasher (how can can those dishes really be?). If you're traveling alone or with one other person (or couple), it's a nice place. Just know that your voice will be heard and you will hear voices downstairs."

"Listing lies about the parking -- there is none. You have to squeeze your way into the driveway past a parked car that leaves about a foot of space to lift your heavy bags over.. The key lockbox is confusing and hard to use with arthritic fingers. There's a handicap accessible sign on the gate but this is a joke because of the car blocking it. Place smells bad too, like cheap deodorant. Cute enough in a basic kind of way. Could use more blankets"

"The location was amazing for us. There were many wonderful shops, great pastries, and excellent restaurants, and you could get almost anywhere using public transportation! I just want to remind folks that this is an Airstream and essentially camping, so if you’re not a camper, this wouldn't be a good option for you. But it was perfect for us, and I think in the summer, the backyard will be beautiful and you’ll enjoy hanging out there."

"Our stay at this property was nothing short of exceptional. The host was incredibly accommodating and always a quick message away. We spent every morning and evening on the deck, mesmerized by the spectacular city skyline—it’s easily the best seat in town. The neighborhood is quiet and is a few minutes from downtown Monclair, which is a beautiful little town. Inside, the kitchen is fully stocked and beautifully updated. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were spotless. It truly felt like a home away from home." We would definitely stay here again!"

"Super nice place. Looks new inside! Lots of space, beautiful natural sunlight. Nice room darkening shades, quality mattresses and linens. Perfect for our week stay! Extra bonus - no steps!! Easy parking just out the front door!"
