"Great property, very comfortable, very clean,,Thoughtfully designed. Cool neighborhood! Wish I got to spend more time here. I was at a conference in downtown Oakland and decided to stay in the sanctuary because hotels were overbooked. Slightly hard/expensive to get an uber in the morning but that’s my fault for not planning ahead. Would recommend!"
"View from the deck was amazing, a great place to sit and enjoy any time of the day. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and towels provided. Several great spots to hike a close drive nearby. Ted gave us several great recommendations for hikes and eat in the close by town. Easy spot to hop on and off freeways. "

"We booked this property on fairly short notice after another reservation was canceled on us, and we felt fortunate to find such a nice spot to be our home base for our daughter's dropoff for her first year at UC Berkeley. The safe and beautiful location was ideal for our last-minute Target/Ikea/etc. runs and it was easy to get DoorDash and enjoy home meals with the gorgeous view. We also had some nice meals out, especially dinner at Lake Chalet on Lake Merritt and lunch outdoors at Broderick Roadhouse in Walnut Creek, as well as Super Duper Burgers near campus for a quick and convenient meal. If you're hoping to use the pool, be ready to use the skimmer because it's beautifully wooded around the property, and splurge on the heating option because even in late August it was chilly without.Our hosts were super polite and responsive and we can see why they will soon be achieving super host status!"

"GREAT VIEW, very nice house with great decor, and many personal touches.
Great kitchen, 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms.
however there are few things we like to point out:
1. if you need help, you are dealing with AI !!!
2. the fancy coffee / barista Breville espresso machine did not work until we completely cleaned up the messes from previous renters. we watched utube clips how to work this machine !
3. in the first night (at 10.30pm) my husband had to run back to the grocery store and buy more/ extra toilette paper that we would have enough for the next morning ! the cleaning service was not doing their jobs !
4. the upstairs bedroom had security issues. the door to the upstairs balcony only closed - locking up securely was not possible.
5. one more : we rented the house for 6 days and we found only 2 tabs of dish washing detergents. this is not enough if there are 6 people for 6 days in the house! cleaning crew should do a better job! we paid a fairly steep price for renting and for cleaning services !
we LOVED the view of the entire Bay, beautiful to sit in the dining area and living room and to enjoy the fireworks for 4th of July on the top balcony, too. "
