"First impression of the outside was not good due to lots of spider webs and tree debris. In fairness, there were recent storms in the area causing much of this, however a good power blowing would have helped. The inside was spotless and all appliances, kitchen countertops, etc. were modern. The master bed was very comfortable. The firepit was exceptional and we really enjoyed it. I broke one of the chairs around the firepit and notified the hostess, she graciously responded quickly."

"We had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you might need. We fished off the dock and caught a wide variety of fish, but we had better luck and caught larger fish in the evening. A huge storm came through and the host kept in contact to make sure we were ok. We ended our stay short because of the county wide loss of power but definitely plan on coming back."

"Raccoon Retreat was the perfect place to host our yearly Memorial Day weekend trip. The house is located close to the marina for launching our boat and the bar and grill was within walking distance. The house came stocked with anything you'd need for comfort. We had a party of 12 and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Will definitely be back!"

The owners are fantastic, the communication and their accommodations are top-notch! We loved this property so much we will stay here every time we are on Kentucky Lake if it’s available!"

"Pros: The property was very nice and as described. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and move around freely. We spent a lot of time playing pool and cornhole. The heated concrete floors were a nice touch. The rooms were large as were the bathrooms. The decor was cool and made for great conversation. The kitchen was amazing with plenty of storage space. "Quaint little cabin just down from the boat ramp. Perfect for a family of four. Everything was clean and worked as it should. Fast WiFi. Communication with the property owner was great. We actually locked ourselves out one time and the host had us back in within minutes. We will definitely be coming back"
