Whispering Waters Cabin on The Creek

Whispering Waters Cabin was built in the late 1940's adjacent to a great spring in rural Northwestern Williamson County. The structure did not have any indoor plumbing until 1992, when I got tired of using the outhouse and washing in the creek under the bridge. The setting is surrounded by woods and lots of water, wildlife critters and many varieties of birds, including my two favorites; the Wood Thrush and seasonal Humming Birds. It's a quiet spot in an otherwise busy and congested world, that offers a safe haven for as long as the guest wishes to stay. The front porch is a wonderful resting spot to listen to the creek and birds. The cabin itself has only four rooms, but they are spacious and inviting. The fully supplied kitchen is ready for "gourmet" visitors interested in all things "gastronomical"! Or simply order out! There is on the property a large organic garden that I tend to all year, and a berry patch with in season blueberries galore! Nuff said -

Peace and quiet

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is your place. Sweet little cabin and we were greeted with fresh flowers. Also hot teas available. Such a nice stay and Stuart was such a great host!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days and it was beautiful! We used ingredients from the garden everyday for dinner and enjoyed getting our feet wet in the crystal clear creek. The house came with everything you need to make your trip perfect. It’s in a peaceful location and feels secluded but also close enough to Nashville. I can’t wait to go back!

Lovely retreat cabin

This Cabin was very well equipped with everything you would need. The surroundings were very quiet and it was wonderful to hear the stream. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Whispering waters was exactly what my husband wanted for his birthday surprise. The host was exceptional even having firewood already placed at the pit. Everything about the cabin was perfect and a perfect get away. We will be going again

Sunrise on the porch

This cabin and its artistic hosting were the perfect pairing for revisiting this part of the woods with my family (where I spent some years as a child and young adult playing and working in Fernvale and Fairviewl. Thank you Stuart!

The perfect retreat!

This was my second time staying at the cabin and somehow it got more lovely! The babbling creek, fire pit, chairs on the porch all make for such a special stay. Kitchen is well stocked and so many details throughout that make the stay so comfy. Thank you Stuart! Hope to be back again!

Charming cabin!

Pics do not do this property justice! Stuart has created such a lovely and thoughtful haven in the country. We loved the antique floors and artful touches inside and the gardens. The bathrooms feels brand new and the kitchen was very well supplied. We plan to come back!

Peaceful Retreat

This is a cute little cabin, perfect for a couple. There’s a beautiful garden in front of the porch and the sound of the creek is so soothing. We stayed two separate nights with our dog on our way to Arkansas and again on our way back. Stuart was great with communication and the cabin was well equipped, even with fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Relaxing time at the cabin!

This was such a beautiful spot to come home to in the evenings and wake up to in the mornings. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in comfort and even caffeine for the mornings. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek. Stuart was so kind. Thank you for sharing I hope to be back one day.

Calm and Peaceful

We stayed there while attending the Pilgrimage Festival. The cabin was a perfect place to come back to and unwind after the craziness of the festival. The cabin was exactly as advertised. It was incredibly clean with a generous amount of towels and washcloths. Check in instructions were very clear. We had a brief issue with the router, but Stuart answered our question in under 5 minutes. From the front porch, you can hear the creek while sitting under the string lights. The washer and dryer were easy to use, and the oven worked very well. We had a fantastic time and I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.

Tranquility

The cabin exceeded our expectations. Snuggled into a beautiful piece of land, it is worthy of a puzzle portrait. The cabin itself has been carefully updated, choosing just the right details to maintain the old charm while providing modern convenience. We especially appreciated the simplicity of the decor. Often, these older cabins are filled with relaxation killing, tchotchkes. Stuart was mindful of this. The cabin is comfortable, warm and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked, pots and pans are top notch and the water is perfect. Bathroom essentials are also provided and this is the first place, ever, that had a magnifying makeup mirror. (I always pack my own) Stuart was kind, patient and very responsive. It was a great stay. My husband said he felt sad to leave. Hopefully, we will return for a longer stay in the future.
