Climb Te Mata Peak for panoramic views of vineyards and orchards stretching across Hawke's Bay. Sample award-winning wines at boutique cellar doors before exploring the village's artisan food shops and charming cafés.
We were on about relaxation and good dining and Mangapapa was the perfect retreat. We used the exercise room, sauna and had massages. Then we enjoyed some sun by the pool and the joyful songs of the birds in the surrounding bush. In the evenings we were delighted with scrumptious cuisine and fine wine.

We traveled from Wellington (in fact I had flown in from Melbourne the previous day) to Havelock North so we could attend the Hawkesbay Races - just because we could. Luckily we were able to have an early check-in to spruce ourselves up. We loved the room (actually a 2 bedroom apartment with a private courtyard) & could not fault anything. The beds were to die for, the bathroom huge, everything pristine. Proximity to the village fabulous and managed to make a good contribution to the local...
