"Stayed in room 12, very good size room with double bed, sofa and mini kitchen. My room had a spa bath (I didn’t use it). Sadly on my first night there was some event on in Hastings resulted in dozens of Indians keeping everyone awake until 2.30am…the second night was peaceful. Breakfast delivered to room on time. Good value overall."

"If you just want a place to rest your head for the night then the rooms we had was ideal. Hotel is close to the shops. Room was clean and the staff were friendly and you can park right outside your room."

"We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was just like a home and we had everything we needed. There were wonderful views from upstairs. We were nice and handy to town. However I should have checked the bedding configuration before booking (totally my fault). There was nine of us ranging from mid 60s to mid 80s and there were 2 sets of bunks in one room that were only suitable for small children. Two of us had to sleep in there and with the very limited headroom it was quite uncomfortable. Some of the things we did were visited Te Mata peak on a beautiful clear day. We had lunch at Clifton beach, visited the Birdwoods Gallery, Maraetotara Falls and Keirunga Gardens, shopped and had lunch and coffees in town. All in all a great place to stay especially if you have young children."
