Great spot, the pictures don't really show how fancy it feels inside. Lots of great info for guests around the hotel. Location is great overall, close to Gora Open Air museum.
What an awesome experience! This place is nestled away in a serene and peaceful setting in the mountains, with a river flowing below and the breeze rustling the trees. The staff was incredible from our welcome to our goodbye, and all the inquiries between. The rooms are spacious and the energy of the entire property and surrounding area is so calming and amazing. The best part is the open air onsen. Words can't describe how relaxing it is! Public transport is quite easy to get around on once we were finally got a hold of a map of the area, 😂. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This place is esentially a capsule hotel with a common era and a public bath + onsen.
Many positives to this place including:
- The common area is very nice with a full kitchen and lounge area with books and tea.
- There are indoor and outdoor gender separated onsens and showers. Both were very relaxing and well maintained.
- The staff spoke english and were very helpful
- I found a good dinner spot up the hill by the train station called mori-meshi
Only negative:
- The bunkbeds are wooden boxes with a futon which was comfortable to sleep on, but my top bunk got very hot at night even though the AC was running because the sleeping compartment didn't have good airflow. If you added a small fan to the entrance of the bed chamber, that would fix the problem.
As a first time experience at an Onsen, it sure was a treat. A very nice and cozy place, with a helpful staff and great amenities. A bit hard to find at first (a single door at the end of a parking lot), but once you find your way it is a great little place for relaxation and Onsen baths. The spacey lounge (where you eat and socialize) was really beautiful and tastefully decorated, and also housed a fully equipped kitchen where you could cook your own food. If you are up really early (6 am) you can enjoy a very relaxing hot bath all by yourself. A very enjoyable stay and I highly recommend it.
