This onsen stay was a perfect harmony of nature, tradition, and hospitality. If you’re looking for a place to reset your soul, indulge in exceptional cuisine, and be cared for with sincere warmth, this is the place. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our return.
This was without a doubt the most Lux accommodations I’ve ever stayed in and that is saying something. We loved the provided yukatas. The meals were amazing. The place is spectacular. Start to finish. I highly recommend it.
Amazing ryokan. The best service I've had in my life. They offered a driver for our stay, and made sure we had everything we needed. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were out of this world. Room was large, clean, and quiet. Loved the private onsen and patio. Definitely worth it!!
Such a treat to get to stay at this amazing property. We particularly enjoyed the private onsen experience and the kaiseki dinner and both the Japanese & Western breakfasts. The service was impeccable, from the restaurant staff to the front desk to the drivers who shuttled us to and from the closest train station. The property is quite close to Gora where the Open Air Museum is located and the Gora station funicular.
The staff are so very polite and helpful. They always put on a smile=) The lobby area is small but the view is really awesome!
The room is with 2 stories, everything is neat and tidy, except a part of the wall was quite stained, we assumed it was from the coffee machine which was placed next to it. The signature part was the private onset bath (on the 2nd story), it was truly awesome, the tank was clean and it is very cosy!
We enjoyed the facilities in the room, we wish to have spent on more night, except the toilet is separated from the shower place, which is downstairs.
We were arranged to have breakfast on the 2nd floor in a compartment at the restaurant. It was really chill and full of tranquillity. We enjoyed the breakfast service so much! Highly recommend if you want to stay away from the common-large-brand-hotel, it's a star and quiet profile hotel
Beautiful hotel, but it was a bit of a walk from the bus station if you’re going into Hakone. Be sure to call the hotel to have a shuttle pick you up from the nearest shuttle stop, which is down the hill from the property. Stuff that was super nice although they didn’t know too much about the tourist bus lines-recommend getting a hug Kone 1 to 3 day pass if you’re staying longer. Property is beautiful, great Japanese breakfast and dinners. They really take care of you – amenities are great in the room, especially with the private onsen. Prices were higher than most because we went during early cherry blossom season. it is like a seven minute walk slightly uphill towards the major bus stop for the tourist attractions. Overall, we had a great experience to stay there – either did not see many children and noise level was kept to a minimum. Definitely would love to stay here again for a romantic getaway.
it was the most memorable stay. best food served individually with someone catering to us all the time. very authentic beautifully prepared food. teppan yaki was also superb. we got lucky for some one cancelled...
the only problem was 20 stairs to the bed room and the private hot spring. we are voth 70s and was overwhelming first....i think i forgot my clothe in the shower room...is there any way i can get it?
it even snowed and though it was freezing cold, someones from hawaii enjoyed it as a bonus. hope to visit again and stay longer next time...TANK YOU, ALL...
Overall beautiful property and amazing food but have to take few stars off due to service discrepancy for a 5 start hotel.
-1 star for lacking international phone number that we could communicate pick-up time change when bus schedule delayed.
-1 star because we ask for ice deliver to our room at lobby and ice never came.
-1 start for my hair oil disappear after room cleaning.
Fantastic hotel which welcomed our children very warmly. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the food outstanding.
We loved the family room with the private onsen, and it helped make our trip to Hakone.
Ideally located for the Open Air Art park (10 min walk).
One of the most beautiful, peaceful, serene hotels we have ever stayed at! Located in area with lots of trees. Private onsen is simply amazing. The Japanese breakfast was the best we have ever had. Highly recommend!
